If Villa get through to the semis then they straddle our match v them. One would assume they will rest players v us as Emery will be desperate to win that trophy.
Despite only only 1 wine in 6, Villa are still top 4. Massive game for them v WHU and I don't think they are gonna rest players in the EPL.
I’m sure like us they will see it as an easier route to a CL place and also it won’t be what is in their minds. Emery loves the competition, and like us, Villa haven’t won a trophy for even longer so will be desperate to win it.
It’s 6 weeks away anyway so lots can happen to their for, before then. They need to win Sunday though for sure!

A group of players that decided that the fans were at least partly responsible for some of the issues.
It is amazing how we fans considered the players simply not good enough a few weeks ago and we were talking of a big summer clearout, and then a few key players return, the players get some energy and togetherness, then comes som e confidence, and suddenly the squad looks really good again.
We do need a new GK this summer, but Danso, Romero, VdV, Vuskovic, Byfield is a great set of CBs (with no Europe).
Porro and Spence competing for RB is great. Udogie and Souza ... we might still need a new LB as Udogie is injury prone, and Souza suspect at 1-on-1's.
Gray, Sarr, Bergvall, Olusesi and Gallagher can provide the foundations of a very decent midfield that will get better and better. Offload Bentancur, Bissouma and Palhinha and bring in one top notch DCM / progressive passer and we're looking good.
Simons, Kulusevski*, Maddison*, Kudus, Odobert*, Tel with Mikey Moore coming back gives us options at CAM / WFs.
One top notch striker to compete with Solanke and Richarlison and we're looking good up top,

Saying that the squad is full of shit requires context, it's obviously flawed but it's more than good enough to be finishing in the top half of the table.
And even if you don't rate the squad judging it on it's entirety on 2 horrendous injury crisis' and 2 flawed managers is unfair.
I agree, this one is a must not lose. We don’t want to be the side an in form West Ham have in their sites or worse still, in the relegation zone going into this international break.
Forest in my opinion have the toughest remaining fixture list, if we can turn them over Sunday then a further 2 wins from the final 7 games would absolutely seal it for us. Marinakis might shit the bed again and move onto manager 5

We need better players but our squad on paper is clearly better than relegation even with injuries. Even with top players we would still be shit.
Our main issue is a total lack of professionalism around the football operation. Levy didn’t know his arse from his elbow when it came to football and Lange and Vinai are a joke. Brentford have an identity it’s kick it long, Woolwich have an identity it’s 1-0 to the Woolwich, Brighton have an identity it’s passing football. Our board decided that Tottenham despite being know historically as England’s glamour team don’t need one.
What that means is manager after manager with different styles, players bought for the wrong style of play. This square pegs round holes philosophy from Levy which was accepted by Joe Lewis minimises our potential. We have this because none of ENIC get football, I mean the game of football not the economics of it. The lack of a football identity from the board has done incredible damage to us. That Spurs a club that demands possessions based attacking football hire Nuno, Jose and Frank shows just how shit ENIC are. We should have the most obvious identity in the league due to our history and fanbase and ENIC fucked it. Any member of the Spurs board who hires a defensive manager should be dragged out in front of the fanbase and pelted with pig shit. If we hire Glasner next I want Joe Lewis’s boat blown up.
