They are in shock.

We need to find someone who can ignite something in the players for our remaining games. And to give them some much needed resilience.

I don't buy into the notion that the other 3 teams have all got collectively better players. It's a fallacy.

Not going to be easy but it is far from impossible.
Leave it to me as I’ve just picked up a Jerry can of super unleaded!

Maybe not technically, but as far as mentality I’d say they’re head and shoulders above our lot.

These players have no backbone or resilience about them and I’m not sure they’ll find it for the run in.

Of course we have to try, but I just don’t see they’ve got enough about them. Personally I’d be benching several first teamers including Romero and VDV and fielding youth.

I think too many people at Spurs still can't see this is a likely scenario now, not an unlikely one.

Our last win was Dec 28th, Vs Palace, where we were 11th.
We were 12 points above West Ham.
They have made up 11 points on us in 13 games.
It's actually not impossible to understand. We all but gave up taking points from matches at that point. We have been dropping down, steadily, ever since.
West Ham's next match is Wolves at home on a Friday, where they'll likely win and put us in the bottom 3.
Our game isn't until Sunday, away to Sunderland, where we WILL lose.

Last season, Southamptons worst run was 1 win from 12 games.
Ours is 4 draws from 12. We're almost as bad as they were.
Last season we finished with 5 points from 12 games. The one win was against that Southampton.

This has been coming for 2.5 years.
Sticking with Ange in the summer of 2024 is as catastrophic as some of us thought it would be. Actually worse.
But the Europa League

Not even sure how we get out of this maybe the below could work.

1 get lucky with the next manager, he hopefully will unlike Frank and Tudor play players in their actual positions and put out a more balanced team

2 have Kudus, Bentancur and Maddison back after the international break.

Something like this team for the last 7 games with Maddison, Bentancur slowly introduced. Think we will have to use a 3 midfield and Palhinha will have to play given how mentally weak our defence is.

Xavi Palhinha Gray

I think benching one would be fair, but its too late to be a message for the squad, so?

I definitely would not rely on youth or think it would be right or that likely to yield the results we need.

I agree on mentality but I don't think any set of players could easily find a way right now.

That's why I think (only think), they might respond to a new voice from now until season end.

Send Romero to the reserves then of the two as his presence seems toxic and he’s clearly not trying.

Obviously field the senior players that a give a shit first and foremost, but then pad out the squad with youth rather than the useless tossers that don’t care.

Agree

Either that or 4-2-3-1 with Gray, Gallagher and Xavi

The glimmer of hope we have is our record over some upcoming opponents:

Sunderland - 1 loss in 10
Leeds - 5 wins in a row
Everton - 1 loss in 10

We’re capable of taking 7 points from that lot. We the need a couple of draws - Wolves and Brighton and I think that will be enough.

A win against Sunderland could kick start us - got a weird feeling we will beat them - and I’ve been pessimistic since Xmas
