Only hope now is that Leeds collapse and we beat them. If they get even a single point against United, it's officially over for us.
Just goes to show how poor this team is. Maddison is our best player and he was actually fit to play for that Leicester relegation team. They also had Vardy, Tielemans, a few other good players.
That was a stronger team than what we have and have had for most of the season and still went down.
I’d argue Newcastle 2016 was stronger too, had some genuine quality.
Their fixtures give them a huge advantage over us

Individually they’re decent ( mostly international) players . How badly must they have been coached to be so inept at playing like anything resembling a team

A decade of only pursuing players based on whether the chairman thought he could "win" in negotiations
A decade of our chairman changing the goal posts in negotiations and costing us players
A decade of not selling players as our chairman over valued all of them
A decade of not wanting to pay agents so them not dealing with us
A decade of not wanting to pay the going wage
A decade of not wanting to pursue players that were wanted by other clubs as it drove up their price and wage demands
All of the above has led to here and frankly ENIC and Levy deserve what comes next and what it does to their "investment"

You realise within that decade we have been in a champions league final, countless top 4 finishes etc
This decline, despite the fingers in ears, coincided with the australian era at the club.
It is unprecedented otherwise, in eras of much shitter players and austerity. There's a mentality void at the club
For sure, I'm just saying they're our only shot. Spam are in decent form, and Forest are only down with us because they had to suffer through a month of the Australian grifter.
