They would get a parachute payment for up to 3 seasons.

Not true. Why do you think they would have to do this?

Again; not true. Levy had clauses placed in all the player contracts he dealt with which means player wages would be reduced by 50% in the event of relegation.

Parachute payments do not equal premier league money
Historically a players value drops when relegation happens due to the majority of players preferring premier league football & the other clubs know the player wants away.
Even if the 50% reduction wages is true . Players like Gallagher who are on supposedly 200 grand a week would drop down to a hun a week & that would make him the highest paid player in the Champ by quite some margin

I have entered the acceptance stage. Anyone that can’t see the facts are deluded. All we have left is prayers. And how has that turned out in the history of the World

I've just watched the red card in the Man U game , if people want to understand how our beautiful sport has gone to fuck then that red card encapsulates it completely .
It isn't enough to ruin a game of football , give him a yellow and he gets a suspension after the game .
It was an intervention , WTF !!!!
It's this sort of nonsensical refereeing that has put me off the game I love .
They have ruined the game . The word WOKE was invented for this sort of thing .
I just don't get it !

Leeds were always difficult to catch as they had home games vs Wolves and Burnley.

Forest and West Ham have tougher fixtures.

We just need to focus on our job.

I genuinely find it baffling that some fans are ridiculing others for not accepting we’re already down. There’s a difference between calling it as it is based on what we’re watching every week, and taking the piss out of anyone who hasn’t completely given up. One’s realism, the other’s just sad point-scoring.

Yet the contradiction is why are they still watching every game and losing their head at full time? Either you’ve accepted it and checked out, or you still care and there’s a bit of hope there. Can’t have it both ways.

It’s just a classic case of trying to be some football know it all and covering themselves. If we go down, they get their “told you so”. If we somehow stay up, they’ll be celebrating like the rest of us, and it’s easily forgotten.

Yes, the performances have been poor and it looks unlikely we turn it around, but writing it off as completely done and mocking anyone who hasn’t given up is a weird way to support a club.

Supporting a club isn’t about being proven right. You can think we’re probably down and still want us to pull off something unlikely. Acting like anyone with a bit of hope is an idiot just makes you look miserable.

Once you put yourself in that position and the football Gods have decided that you are going down (the heavily deflected Sunderland goal is such a moment), you will go down. A bit like Leicester had to win the title in 2016 and everything fell their way week in week out.

That Leeds win could be a blessing in disguise, Leeds next 3 games before they play us could work in our favour

H) Wolves
A)Bournemouth
H) Burnley

Hopefully they get 7 points and they’re mentally on the beach

Yes it’s come to this.

People using Leeds pulling a performance out of nowhere at Man Utd as proof that we have no chance of survival is one of the more perplexing narratives I've seen in a while tbh...
Leeds falling apart was our only chance at survival. West Ham are in decent form, and Forrest are only down in the relegation fight due to Ange.

Yet another weekend of everything going wrong for us. It's fucking ridiculous how unlucky we've been all season.
