I never wanted him sold. Knew it was a mistake but the FM lads and spurs tacticos thought differently.
We ended up at 17th last season, with Son. The downfall was well on it's way, and he was not a captain and a leader, even though he wore the armband.

Was a wonderful player for us, but with his recent lack of speed and sharpness, would have made little difference me think.

The big problem is that we didn't replace him, at least not with a better player

We should come straight back up. I really liken us to Newcastle in 2015/16. Look at Ipswich and Southampton last season, they were fucking dreadful and Ipswich are coming back up and Southampton after a shit first third of the season are making the play offs. We have plenty of champo experience, we'll have the best youngsters in the division, the best resources and likely the best manager.

But this only works if we make the right decisions , install the right people, sell the right players which is where it could all fall down. Vinai and Lange need to go the second our fate is sealed and just for once we need to get it right. We need people in that have actually played the game.
The ninth richest club in the world shouldn't be anywhere near this position. The word "should" has no meaning with us.

An arrogant, complacent - not to mention utterly incompetent - board, and a terrible collection of players, at least currently fit ones, is a bad enough mix. Throw in what must be the worst medical team in top-flight history, and ditto for the scouts, and here we are.

Solanke is our record signing. Solanke. Think about that. I look at this team and I compare them to the one we had in the early/mid-80s and I want to weep. I remember at least one game under Hoddle when we had Doherty and Freund up front. I didn't think we could sink any lower than that. But here we are.

Kulu still out, Madders only capable of making Diet Coke ads (at least get some bloody taste buds, mate).

106 days since we won a league game. 106.

Despair doesn't begin to cover it. It's not even trying to
I don't disagree with the tone of your post or anything, but I defy you to find a link to any game where we had Freund playing up front...

There is no fight or desire in the team. Inevitable really when January showed there was no fight or desire from the board / owners. And, if were honest, no real fight and desire from the fans as its all unfolded with no anger directed at those parasites ultimately responsible in the boardroom.

.. Just meek, pathetic acceptance as its all unfolded.

The whole club is absolutely minging from the very top down.

These teams kept most of the squad that went down , I can’t see more than 5 or 6 of this squad staying at best , odobert will have to stay and he won’t be fit till the end of the year , we need to buy a whole team and hope they gel . Who is going to be running the football said - Lange ? Who is going to be our manager ? Honestly think we may be screwed for a few years whilst we sort out this mess .

Scott Parker is the best manager in the championship. 3 seasons, 3 different teams, 3 promotions. Burnley are a one foot in the championship one foot in the premier league team. Champions next season.
Wolves going down playing somewhat well , they have prepared for this , got rob Edwards in
Tottenham and the wank players that can’t get a transfer in the summer ain’t coming up.
Vinai and Lange couldn’t sign two attackers in January to keep us up. Would you trust them to get ten championship players in. My cat would do better.
We are truly fucked.

Vinai and Lange no, thats why i said sack them the second we're down.

As the old adage goes, the league table never lies. It did on this occasion though. We weren't a real 17th last season. We were apparently tanking in league games to focus on winning the Farmers League UEFA Cup.

I really don't think we would coast to the Championship and come back up automatically at all - this squad has proved for two years now just how little guts and and hard work they possess. Theres no way they will roll their sleeves up and give 100% in a long slog against purely physical oppostion even with a realistic clear out and additions with champ experience.

I agree with you initially, he was losing pace and sharpness, but tell you what, i bet all of us would be putting him in our team right now. He can still finish more chances than these lads up front.

The way i see it is, the medical department know which players are prone to injuries more than others, therefore they should not have sold Son in that case.

Another decision they screwed up. Son bleeds spurs and they decided to get rid. Ridiculous.
One word = Money.

I take solace knowing we won't be seeing a load of these cowardly inept cunts anymore after this season. Dare I say corrupt as well.

I want to see more of Phillips, Devine (who this fucktard board put a 4.5m release clause that Preston fans are still pissing themselves laughing at), Moore, Lankshear, Souza, LBW.

I am looking at the remaining fixtures, crunching the number and one could really make the case that:
NF will win 3 more games (9 points added to the 3 between us and them) = 12 point-gap
WH will win 3 more games (9 points added to the 2 between us and them) = 11 point-gap

This is realistic thinking based on this weekend's results and the momentum each team is showing.

Is our team capable of securing 11 points? (3 wins and 2 draws or even 4 wins)??? I don't see that.

Unless NF and/or WH lose their heads and go spursy, this is almost sealed and done.

Thank you ENIC, 25 years in the making and you finally did it.
As it stands we can't put pressure on them

However - the way we do actually put pressure on them is by winning...... If we beat Brighton, we leapfrog both West Ham and Forest which means they'll have added pressure on their games playing the following day and day after.

Pressure on them in their game leads to mistakes

We're playing first out of everyone and so a win is an absolute must.

If we fail to beat Brighton, then both Forest and West Ham will have the freedom to go out and play without fear as they know that whatever happens they'll still be above us.

If we don't beat Brighton, then I fear that's pretty much us down.

Beat Brighton and we're back on the fight.

COYS!!!!

Even if we move on the majority of our squad we should get minimum 100 points. Remember we still have players like Manor Solomon who was brilliant for Leeds in the Championship. I would definitely try and keep Ben Davies and make him club captain. The revenue we generated from non football events in the last accounts is more than the total revenue generated of 19 Championship sides. We should absolutely walk the league with this team.
GK - Kinsky/Austin
RB - Walker Peters on loan from WH
CB - Phillips/Byfield
CB - Davies (c) /Takai
LB - Souza
RW - Odobert/Yang
DM - Olusesi/Hall
AM - Devine/LWB/Donley
 LW - Moore/Solomon
FW - Scarlett/Lankshear/Melia/Wilson

We need some full back cover and a couple of experienced all action midfielders.

Right lets get one thing right we're not selling 20 players this summer. It'll be 12 max imo

We have no fight. Fuck me even in the dark days of Gary Doherty and fruend in the team they had fight.
I actually really am starting to hate these cunts. When they do leave I hope they all have short careers. Cunts to a man. The lot of them.
