We should come straight back up. I really liken us to Newcastle in 2015/16. Look at Ipswich and Southampton last season, they were fucking dreadful and Ipswich are coming back up and Southampton after a shit first third of the season are making the play offs. We have plenty of champo experience, we'll have the best youngsters in the division, the best resources and likely the best manager.

But this only works if we make the right decisions , install the right people, sell the right players which is where it could all fall down. Vinai and Lange need to go the second our fate is sealed and just for once we need to get it right. We need people in that have actually played the game.

Maybe a bit controversial (and probably not for now) but we can’t keep de Zerbi if we go down. Need to get Scott Parker in who has brought teams up before, knows the club and knows what it takes. Managerial experience of being in that division is key. None of the club have a clue what it’s like being in that division so we need a leader who does.

Experience isn't that important. The best Championship teams in recent times have been Kompanys Burnley, Marescas Leicester, Silvas Fulham, Nunos Wolves, Benitez Newcastle.

None of those managers had Championship experience. If we can keep De Zerbi then his football would suit the division pretty well, especially since we'd be technically the best side in it and the "cup final" for most clubs.

I agree with you initially, he was losing pace and sharpness, but tell you what, i bet all of us would be putting him in our team right now. He can still finish more chances than these lads up front.

The way i see it is, the medical department know which players are prone to injuries more than others, therefore they should not have sold Son in that case.

Another decision they screwed up. Son bleeds spurs and they decided to get rid. Ridiculous.
One word = Money.

Half an hour of Son every game on that left wing or upfront is infinitely better than what we’ve put up there this season.

His experience would help too. Sure his legs have gone somewhat but he wouldn’t have been playing 90 minutes every week. There was a reason Ange gave him so much time in the EL Final and it wasn’t to be early years Sonny.

He would have stayed too. It was the club who drove him out.

It will be better to watch too. However I think, two things, Parker is more of a sure thing to bring us straight back up, and two, I’m not convinced DZ is staying to manage us in that division.

Even if we move on the majority of our squad we should get minimum 100 points. Remember we still have players like Manor Solomon who was brilliant for Leeds in the Championship. I would definitely try and keep Ben Davies and make him club captain. The revenue we generated from non football events in the last accounts is more than the total revenue generated of 19 Championship sides. We should absolutely walk the league with this team.
GK - Kinsky/Austin
RB - Walker Peters on loan from WH
CB - Phillips/Byfield
CB - Davies (c) /Takai
LB - Souza
RW - Odobert/Yang
DM - Olusesi/Hall
AM - Devine/LWB/Donley
 LW - Moore/Solomon
FW - Scarlett/Lankshear/Melia/Wilson

We need some full back cover and a couple of experienced all action midfielders.
That’s a shocking squad

I dont think that squad even makes playoff spots.

I think a lot of the fanbase are severely downplaying the quality in the Championship. It will be tougher than many expect.

Those
It doesn't happen anymore, look at the relegated teams of the past few years. They don't lose 20 odd players
Dont use the last few seasons as the benchmark as those teams went down because they already had Championship players. Use Villa. They went down and sold/loaned/released 16 players. We have a squad full of full internationals on big money or who are young and can't afford a season in a second tier league if they want to progress. Without saying "they are under contract" you tell me why Gray, Bergvall, Sarr etc. Will be happy to play in the Championship.

I’ve said already I can’t see de zerbi being here next season in the championship , I’d keep an eye out on the Eddie Howe situation , yes it’s a big backward step but he wouid be perfect for us , knows the championship and is a proven prem manager .

No offence but Gray , Bergval and Sarr don’t look like premier league players to me .

Biggest issue we've faced this season, prem only stats and more than 20 appearances.

Last season.
Solanke Goals 9 assists 3
Maddison Goals 9 assists 7
Son Goals 7 assists 9
Kulusevski goals 7 assists 4
Johnson goals 11 assists 3

This season.
Richarlison goals 9 assists 3
Muani goals 1 assists 1
Tel goals 3 assists 0
Odobert goals 0 assists 2
Simons goals 1 assists 4
Kudus goals 2 assists 5

Huge change over in 1 season and complete lack of chemistry.

Just retaining the armband would have made a difference too IMHO rather than appointing the undeserving moron that inherited it!

Probably right, and in losing Son we lost someone who really cared.

Villa spent three years down there, their first season they were midtable shite with a negative goal difference.

There's a lot of romanticising about Villa on here for some reason but it wasn't the cake walk for them you're all remembering

I’m not romanticising anything. I’m looking at where they are now and where we are headed (the Championship).

I’m not willing not to happen. We are most likely going down irrespective of what any of us here think, so I’m looking at what I consider the best possible scenario if the most likely outcome from this season transpires.

The crazy thing about that list.

We willingly sold Son and Johnson.
Named Maddison and Kulusevski in our 25 man squad. Zero minutes played between them.
Solanke currently our 19th most used player in the league. We knew he was injured too.

Talk about shooting yourselves in the foot.

We shot both our feet then thought we might as well just shoot both our kneecaps too while we are shooting stuff.
