My worry is, if we go down, how long will it take us to get back in the Prem. The EFL is very competitive and all clubs will be in awe of the stadium and play out of their skin. Besides, we don't know how many of our best palyers will be staying?

Food for thougts
We have no excuses. If we go down and don't make it right back up then the management needs to be thrown out of the building. The 9th richest club in the world should be buying the best champo players and win it.

Be even more inexplicable if we end up
“ doing a Leicester “ .

But have no fear 17th in the Prem is very doable ; we’ve already got the experience of last year’s campaign under our belt don’t forget . We’ve been there , seen it and done it all before.

We were never in the bottom 3 battling to get out of it..... psychologically this is new territory and DeZerbi has to work on their mindset as well as their technical ability. Not easy.

Agreed, as horrendous as we were in the league last season relegation was never really a concern. Southampton and Ipswich had absolutely no business in being in the league and number 18 Leicester only got 25 points and were officially down a month before the end of the season (we had 38). This situation is very different.

We are basically fighting for our lives in the next 4 weeks with a genuine possibility of dying so to speak. Personally I'm moderately optimistic with De Zerbi at the helm and after our performance against Brighton, but there is very very little room for error, that's for sure.

It just seems unrealistic to think, a team that hasn't won in say 15 or 16 games is suddenly going to win 4 or 5 in a row.
I get this take but then we've not played remotely close to how we played against Brighton in those 15 or 16 games either.

And it was a Brighton top of the form league. One dodgy loss in 6, with the rest of the 5 being wins.

The narrative was that we were getting smashed by the in-form team of the league and yet we really should have won.

Tomorrow is the test. Was the Brighton performance a one-off or is RDZ getting a tune out of these players finally?

We only need to better West Ham by one win. If that swing could happen tomorrow, coupled with another good performance, then maybe we'll be ok.

Hate the fact it's so dragged out though. This next month is gonna be loooooonnnng!

Agree we played well against Brighton and should have won, trouble is we didn’t, the winless run has become a disgrace.

Things could get really interesting if Forest lose tomorrow at Sunderland. Their last 4 league fixtures are chelsea away, Newcastle at home, Man. United away and Bournemouth at home. Next week they play Villa at home in the semi-finals of the Europa League and one week later the return at Villa Park.
yeah, Forest are not out of it. They have by far the hardest run-in of the dirty trio

If we avoid defeat then we draw , and west ham will win.
We are a shocking excuse as a football team and deserving of going down.
I always had you down as more of a fighter than this.

West Ham have had their little surge. They have to play Arse (title race) Everton (European race) Brentford (European race) in their next 3. They absolutely will drop points.

Yeah I can’t believe we won’t come straight back up. I was speaking to a Hull fan last Saturday and he’s saying well enjoy it as fans because we’d get lots of wins and definitely come straight back up despite what some of us fear. Five minutes before we were talking about how badly we are run so he understood the circumstances but thought it wouldn’t be enough to see us not go straight back up. I agree fwiw.

I'm sure we'd come straight back up. I know we're badly run and shit but Burnley always bounce back, Newcastle under Ashley did and look at Ipswich this season who were shocking last season. Southampton might in the play offs as well. (We'll gloss over Leicester). The championship is a great watch and its tough because of the number of games but the quality is poor. Olly Mcburnie the 3rd top scorer this season for example. Difficult to believe at the moment but most of our players would easily be the best in the division. Add in resources and De Zerbi and i cant not see it.

Burnley, Leicester, Norwich etc don't go town to play 23 teams that will treat every game against them like a cup final.
Everyone will raise their game against us like nobody else.
