More evidence - how many times has a ref been called over to the monitor and stuck with his original decision? I've personally never seen it.
I can only remember seeing it happen once in a Premier League game.

The ref didn’t disallow a goal despite being called over to look at a potential foul.

Three guesses which club the goal was scored against…

I am so sick of this season and so sick of the unhidden agenda.

It is just so fortunate (I hope) that lot haven't got an option but to go full steam tomorrow, or I have no doubt at all, they would find a way to lose.
He was banging on saying how funny it would be if we got relegated at Stamford Bridge, I'm sure if someone said that about Liverpool getting relegated at Old Trafford or vice versa, they would probably receive a warning about insiting civil disobedience

We aren't safe yet by any stretch but if we survive I am going to say so much about this season.

The level of sh!t that comes our way is intolerable

VAR referees should not be affiliated to the FA/Premier League, probably from an overseas league. Fixed.

They don't want to go against their mates.
There is certainly a pecking order with refs. Mike Dean even admitted after he retired that he didn’t give the pen when Romero pulled Cucurellas hair away to Chelsea. He said he didn’t want to drop his mate in it.
Also said he was terrified of doing the var job, just couldn’t cope with it. It’s like putting a 50 yrs old labourer into an IT job.

Was listening to five live on the way home from work this afternoon, Rob Green was on there spouting utter nonsense about us - apologise this is about 5 hours late
Not many of these ex pros make good pundits. Money for old rope really. Come out with the same old crap. Had to turn Sky off just now…..Sturridge and Micah Richards rabbitting on. Too much for me…I need a whisky.
Might need another one at 4.30 tomorrow.

Aren't you two arguing the same point?

Everton don't get two goals if they get the penalty, but we never know how the match plays out because

Utter nonsense. They are two different passages of play. If a team is denied a nailed-on penalty, that's almost as good as being denied a goal. Whether or not they actually score a goal 2 mins later is totally irrelevant.
Not really is it. Because 2 mins later they scored. So you’re saying if they scored the goal two mins earlier they win the game ?

West ham may have scored straight afterwards like they did? Come on grow up

Everton don't get two goals if they get the penalty, but we never know how the match plays out because football is chaos not order.
I have a friend that’s Wet Spam and they had a contentious decision go against them v Forest at home. They were 1-0 up and then scored to make it 2-0. However the goal should have stood but was disallowed. Forest then scored shortly afterwards to make it 1-1 and then scored a late winner from a controversial free kick. Now that is where bad decisions can be critical
And change results. He said if Forest pip them by 3 points that has cost them relegation. My family are all West Ham so I do keep a close eye on them too.

I still think that the Woolwich Hollywood ending, of them winning the league and Spurs being relegated, on the last day of the season, probably in injury time, is the script the Premier League and the referees have been working to all season.

Watching the Villa game was surreal.

Having been conditioned to watching Spurs have free kicks continually given against us, for the whole of the season, when it didn't happen away at Villa I knew something was up.

I really hope and believe we should beat Leeds on Monday but;

Deep down I suspect Spurs have only been given life support to prolong the agony until the last day.

Spit that Koolaid right out of your mouth Brother KK .

You’re better than that. We’re good enough to beat both Leeds and Chavski . And we will .

Everton will simply be the icing on the cake .

Not really is it. Because 2 mins later they scored. So you’re saying if they scored the goal two mins earlier they win the game ?
Yes. I'm saying that if they get the penalty, that's one goal, then if they score the other goal 2 mins later (and there is no reason they shouldn't, the two are completely unconnected incidents) then that's another goal, and they win.

By your logic, if a team was so good that it beat another team 10-0, but had a clear penalty disallowed in the 1st minute, would you say that if they had been given that penalty then they wouldn't have scored all of their subsequent goals and it would only be 1-0 at the end of the match? Football (and indeed cause and effect) don't work like that. Obviously every event changes every subsequent event, but if a team is good enough to create a subsequent chance, there is no reason why scoring a penalty would make them any less likely to create that subsequent chance in addition.

Over six hours later……

What happened? Did your folks give you internet access again in the evening and you hadn’t expected that? Did you draw them a nice picture with your crayons to get such a treat?
The guy must be on the wind-up surely, no one in their right mind can seriously think this is how cause & effect works, as if the ability of the team to create chances is completely irrelevant. 😂

This conversation is ridiculous. Seeping into nearly every conversation on this forum.

Unless folks are looking into every wrong decision, in every game and how it affected said scoreline the point is moot IMHO.

Can anyone tell me how many points west ham had theoretically been denied by bad decisions against them this season?

They are claiming very poor decsisons against them in the Brentford game that affected the result...

The Forest game too.

Yeah but they all talk nonsense.
