I doubt any/many of the team that got relegated will be playing tomorrow, and let's be honest here, Leeds are one of the few clubs with zero to play for.

Their job is done so whilst I think being up for the game is essential, it's also against an opponent who might have little or no motivation.

I guess the key is to be fully pumped and hope Leeds think no thanks.

Yeah, it doesn't matter who you are, once you are safe, the effort levels will drop, it's just human nature. They aren't going to be at 100% effort, whereas obviously we'll be bang up for it and fighting.

We will still need to score, and defend well, but it's one of those games where if we can just get an early goal, Leeds will probably not put up too much resistance.

Looks like Newcastle are going into experimental mode for the rest of the season looking ahead to next year. Gordon has been an unused sub in their last three matches as Howe says he's "looking to the future." Wouldn't rule out spam winning up there so we really need to be beating leeds tomorrow. If we don't win it's squeaky bum time again.
Agree, I don’t trust Newcastle in that game at all.

First of all - fuck Woolwich and everything related to them. Couldn't care less about them given our situation.

We needed West Ham to lose today. And every point we took against City seems vital for our survival. Its much more serious situation than 2 years ago when we lost on purpose against Woolwich.

As tempting as it was to want West Ham to get a draw, this was the right result.
City have blown so many chances , I wouldn’t be surprised if they even lost to Bournemouth .
Just need to get the win tomorrow and West Ham lose to Newcastle .

Its the next game, not the last game.
And if Newcastle have an outside chance of Europe then what about Everton who are 3 point further up?

We need to find our 5 points from somewhere and end this

Hopefully, just feels like theyre running out of steam under Howe. Will their fans be that up for it? The ideal situation will be West Ham needing to win. Newcastle do have players that could hit them on the break. Shame Gordon looks like he’s been sidelined

I think slightly the opposite.

Howe is trying to play players who want to Gibraltar their all for the club, and who are committed. Hence the continued Gordon omission although I hope he starts him.next week.

If anything Howe's stancet might rouse Newcastle. Either way I don't think West Ham go there certain to win, and in normal circumstances I think they would welcome a draw

We just need to ensure a draw isn't enough this time round.

I know it might sound naive KK ; but we should genuinely be good enough to rise above it .

We’re ( a bit ) better than our League position suggests ; we just have to execute.

I'm reserving judgement until after tomorrow against Leeds.

That disallowed West Ham goal today kind of backs up my theory.

The referees and VAR are definitely influencing outcomes this season on a scale I have not witnessed before.

West Ham did not deserve to lose that game.

We are one shit ref away from safety.

Last home match of the season and they can still get European football, they'll be up for it.
