I am surprised that noone in this thread came up with the possibility that west ham still could stay up on goal difference.

My personal horror scenario is west ham staying up by goal difference which is still possible if we lose heavily vs Chelsea

Spurs vs leeds 1-0
Chelsea vs Spurs 6-0
Spurs vs Everton 0-3

Newcastle vs west ham 0-2
West ham vs leeds 0-0

In that scenario both teams have gd-17 but Spurs stay up because they scored more goals.
But anything worse than that and we go down.

So even if we beat leeds, I will still be nervous until west ham lose vs newcastle.
If they get a point at newcastle it's still not over.
Of course it's possible but expecting us to get 1 win and 2 losses but end up with -8 GD is the unlikeliest scenario there is. We haven't lost by more than 3 goals all season, despite our horridness.

Just fucking win tonight so that the worst possible scenario is that it’s in our own hands on the final day, can’t be going to the chavs needing a result just to ge back out of the drop zone, that’s a horrific scenario.

We need to stop rating our chances on beating Leeds based on what went before RDZ arriving.
Every game since we have improved in every aspect.

If we go out there and play even 80% as well as we did Vs Villa and Brighton, they won't have a chance.
They're missing key players tonight, too.
Maybe if someone could breathe heavily on DCL, they won't really have any threat.
This is the key point. Played alright versus Sunderland and were unlucky to not get a point, played well against Brighton and should have won, then played well to very good against Wolves and Villa and won both. This is despite key injuries in every match except last week.

We have been substantially better since RDZ took charge, and although Leeds are in good form, we are too.

''It means they have earned 70.3% of their points this season in away games. That is the highest proportion by any team in any season in Premier League history. The Tottenham team of 2025-26 are more reliant on away points than any other side the competition has ever seen.''

We've won a record.

Inversely, that means we are the worst home team the competition has ever seen, adjusted for overall team performance.

does any of the current young mercenary squad they have give two shits about our rivalry? i don't really see it. they have a lot of quality and can be a tough out but i think this the best chance in years to get a win there. i don't see this as battle of the bridge pt. 2
Its odd but i feel more confident about the Chelsea game than the 2 home games. 3 days after the cup final, a pissed off fanbase (more so if they lose to City) and bugger all to play for. Win tonight then i think we get something there.

I'm not convinced teams will be on the beach, each club earns about £2.7m per league position going upward, and loses the same going downward, so there could be £5.4m to play for, for not slipping down a position and gaining a position upwards.

It's not a case of glory in that situation but I suspect it's money that the club's will be expecting the manager, coaches, and players to try their utmost to earn.
They will be way more interested in staying fit than a one off payment.

This could be the first season in living memory where DCL hasn’t fallen to bits - I’m sure in the back of his mind he’s thinking if he can stay fit he might get a call up for the World Cup and think fuck it with the 50/50s

58% here.

And the a lot may change their mind since we stopped being shit, but still have had decisions go against us.

Your last sentence tells me everything I need to know -

match fixing lol - apart from the West Ham game, most of these bad decisions have happened with plenty of time for the game to go any which way -

its embarassing how many fans are jumping on this train, and clear to me how little football outside Spurs most of these fans watch -

I think it all depends on how much hope they have going into that game.

We win today and their efforts will be a gesture, we don't win today and they are 1 win away from leapfrogging us, having a genuine chance of surviving going into their final game against Leeds at home.

1 or 2 points behind with fixtures away at Newcastle and at home to Leeds leaves them not just with hope but very good hope compared to our final two games that are by far tougher than theirs.

Simply put we have to win tonight.
Do not understand why our home game against Leeds today is very difficult, but an easy win for Spam last game.

Anyway, get at least a draw today forces Spam to have to get 3 points. A win today means they have to get 6. And both scenarios get more difficult if we continue to get results.

An early goal to us and we win 3-1.
Should be a great watch for neutrals.
Oh wait, no such thing. You are a Spurs fan or you hate us, no in between it seems!

Our final 2 games are Chelsea away and Everton at home, there's is Newcastle away and Leeds at home.

Tonight's game is our game in hand. Absolutely massive that we take advantage of that as I have West Hams final 2 games as being favourable compared to ours.
