Well yes of course our home form won't help us on the last day because we're at home, but at the end the season we will have had 19 home games and 19 away games, same as everyone else, and it's the overall performance over all 38 games that determines who goes down, not just home form. Perhaps I misunderstood you, but your earlier statement "...no team deserves to stay in the PL, with our horrendous Home form" - doesn't make sense, that's not how leagues / relegation work. But if what you actually meant was "I'll be shitting myself on the last day if we need something because we're at home" then yes I'm sure we'd all agree with that...

Okay let me make it more simpler for you.
Our Home record is the WORSE in the league.
If we do go down, that will be the reason people look to …

Can someone just check my maths please:

IF WH get a draw at Newcastle, then a loss or a draw at Chelsea for us would basically give exactly the same outcome, i.e. either would need WH to win their last game, and us to lose, in order for them to stay up and us go down. Is that right?

(EDIT: No it's not right - getting a point at Chelsea could be crucial...)

If ham gets a draw on Sunday then we're gonna need 2 draws to be safe or one win.

Assuming ham beat Leeds last day

Oh yes, I missed their Newc point, I knew something was off there but couldn't see what it was, thanks.

So if they do happen to draw at Newc, then us getting a point at Scum might well be the difference between surviving or not - that's not a pleasant thought given our record there... :/

“it's the overall performance over all 38 games that determines who goes down” 😉

West Ham lose to Newcastle, 1 point from our last 2 keeps us up.

West Ham draw at Newcastle, 2 points from our last 2 keeps us up.

West Ham beat Newcastle, we likely need 4 points from our last 2.

I assume they're going to beat Leeds. I thought Leeds were there for the taking last night and final day survival is usually a massive motivator.

The lack of ability in the forward positions will be what ultimately costs us. You can't lose world class players in Kane and Son and replace them with Tel and Solanke/Richarlison. Absolutely shit forward line.

Just think of the chances Richarlison had last night, if those fall to Bowen …

I think we only get 1 more point this season. Either a draw at Chelsea or a draw against Everton.

So it's all on Newcastle. If West Ham go there and win, we go into the final day 18th and I think we are down. West Ham 100% beat Leeds final day. It works like that, because that's how football works. We failed to beat them, but West Ham will.

Our last two games are against teams in bad form.

Everyone seems to be writing off the game at the Bridge next week. And yeah if we go into the game thinking we'll lose then we definitely will. Or we can go into the game seeing that it's a team in really bad form that we could get a result from.

Everton are also in bad form. Winless in their last 5. They have Sunderland at home next week and its possible that they might go into our game mathematically out of Europe already.

It was just the other day people were treating it like a foregone conclusion that West Ham were down. Now one game later its the exact opposite. Some of you need to get a grip.
