Isn’t I’d depressing to see manure secure 3rd I think considering where they were a few months back. Look at us it is absolutely gob smacking the shit show we have endured in the past 5 months. We have had plenty of opportunities to get out of this mess starting with the spam game at home last min winner. Hold on ther for just even a draw and we would have been safe by now. Ffs Frank may still have been manager and we could have got rid in summer and got Poch. But we blew it big time in so many games, I think if we stay up it will be despite us rather than us doing anything.
The two teams were very similar levels at the end of last year. They had an excellent off season and made good in season adjustments when they were under performing.

We did the opposite. In a year of absolute mediocrity in the EPL, we managed to shat the bed.

IF we can stay up, shows a huge jump is possible next year. We have a great manager now. As always, need ownership and whoever is leading recruitment to actually not suck.

We have some building blocks. But need 3-4 actual difference making signings.

Shame we won't stay up though.

Have to admit, I'm drained by this season. Whatever the outcome I cannot wait for the end of it so I can be put out of this misery. I've hated seasons before but not like this.
I echo this, everyday is torture, the wait for this Newcastle vs spam game all week has been horrific.

So many times down the years I’ve moaned about us being in mid table mediocrity, don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.

Everton and Chavski both playing for Europe. Castle and Leeds on the beach playing for fuck all

We’re down.
Newcastle will do us a favour, mark my words

With today's results, we have now officially finished below Leeds United and Crystal Palace. The best position we can mathematically achieve this season is sixteenth - requiring us to win both remaining games and Nottingham Forest to lose at home to AFC Bournemouth, who themselves are still looking to secure UEFA Champions League football for next season.

The last time we won a domestic trophy, none of those clubs were even in the Premier League, three of them were in League One, and Bournemouth got relegated down to League Two where they started the following season on -17 points after nearly going bankrupt

Great news that Ev have officially been eliminated from European football.
Not quite official yet. They need:

-Brentford to lose to Liverpool
-Sunderland don't beat Chelsea
-Chelsea get at most 3 points from Tottenham and Sunderland
-Everton beat Tottenham
-Everton make up a 5 GD difference with Brentford, and 8 with Chelsea if the latter gets 3 points exactly.

If that happens, Everton will go into a qualifying round for a place in the Conference League.

Amazingly this late in the season, only four clubs - Fulham, Leeds, Palace and Forest - can no longer either qualify for Europe or get relegated. And Fulham still had a chance until 20 minutes ago.
