Wouldn't put it past us to lose the next two. Please let's get a point at Chelsea and put this to bed.
We can live in hope but I'm not optimistic for tomorrow.
I've seen enough of this fixture over the last thirty years and we are down to the bare bones , even Solanke couldn't put his body on the line for this one ( a common occurrence).
Anyway , most people yesterday were saying they would snatch your hands off for a Newcastle - West Ham draw so it would still be in our hands even with a defeat against Chelsea. I said I wouldn't take a draw as I thought Newcastle were favourites to win that game.
Now it leaves us only needing a draw , rather than having to beat Everton. I think that's a big difference. Having to win creates extra pressure , needing to score goals.
It would be very nice to get something tomorrow though and not go through more stress on the final day.

I just had this realization that we are safe because the chances are west ham just won’t beat Leeds. We probably will lose our two games and stay up out of blind luck.😂😂😂😂😂

The big concern is we get nothing from Chelsea (because Chelsea) which puts pressure/toxic atmosphere Sunday.
Steady on with that level of optimism, you'll get my hopes up....
Despite it being only one point I'm still not sure we're going to do it. We never get a result at Chelsea, so I think it's going to go down to last game of the season and we are shit at home, it's also going to be a massively nervous atmosphere in the stadium which our players don't seem to rise above.

I really think we're going to be hoping for a favour from Leeds on the last day.
Jesus, not you n'all...?

A fully fit Mads, having Kudus back, and 2-3 quality first team signings and next year can actually be fun.

RDZ making a huge difference, even with a bare bones squad.
See, robotdevil Samisspurs Samisspurs ...THAT'S how you do optimism!

Everton haven't been great last few games but I wouldn't call it dreadful. They just got a 3-3 with city.
Form comes and goes , fine margins every game.
I said I didn't think West Ham would win any of their next three and they haven't despite being in really good form going into them.
It's all on the day , a moment of magic , a bad decision , bad luck and god forbid , a red card which would send us down ( unless it was very late ).
That's why I'm focussing more on the 3-1 defeat at home to Sunderland!!

This is probably me winning the "fell for it again award," but I don't think it'll be business as usual this summer if we stay up. We've already seen some hints of it by breaking the wage structure to sign Xavi and Gallagher and paying whatever RDZ wanted on a very long term deal.

That Lewis son in law from Florida doesn't seem like he's going to put up with another season of Vinai and Lange's shit. I think he fires them as soon as the season ends and gives RDZ and his people a lot of freedom with transfers.
I certainly hope so. And I think you might be right tbh. We need everyone fit and two or three top players. I am super optimistic if we stay up that next season can be really good

Yeah, cuz we’ve been known to always have luck on our side…

Fair enough but the only way we could go down now would be two losses from two, and Spam winning 1 from 1. This is as wide a margin as there could be right now. We have six ways out and they only have one.

All true. I just don't trust these players, they've conceded late with horrendous defending and errors so many times this season. Just take away one of those late goals and we are already safe.
Let's hope Leeds do us a favour ( if we need it ).

The mental lapses at the end of a half are maddening to be sure. But RDZ has us playing like a club that knows how to survive, getting at least something from each match of late.

And I suppose we have six ways out, not five:

W at Chavs
D at Chavs
W vs Everton
D vs everton
LL but Spam D vs Leeds
LL but Spam L vs Leeds

Their only escape is LL and they W vs Leeds

Having six chances in seven, having seen Spam lose 3 on the trot leaves me thinking we’re going to take care of business and put it all behind us

To get out of there with a draw tonight will be one of our biggest achievements of recent decades. Isnt it overwhelmingly obvious now the PL and Sky want both relegation and the title to go down to the last day? Watch Bournemouth get some stinking decisions tonight also to make sure City win.

It is all a result of years of complaints that the PL is boring. If it wasnt us and West Ham they'd be doing it to two other teams. It is just their wettest of dreams that it is us and them, two big clubs.
