Please, let’s not open that can of worms. Ninth richest club in the world, £140m wage bill, one of the biggest net spenders over the last five years, and we’ve flirted with relegation in two consecutive seasons.
Relative to money spent and wages paid, this is probably the biggest underperformance in modern football history.
No fan should want us to go down, and I hope that it's just frustration that says it.
The clowns won't be here next season, regardless. I'm absolutely certain of that.
But it's disgraceful that we had them keep Frank for too long, appointed a relative nobody and compounded it before his arrival by neglecting the gaping needs all the way through the winter window. To be a club of our size and stature, and resources and to have our collection of forwards is the 8th wonder of the world.
