Apart from already being safe we are in the best final day position we could probably ask for. Only the worst case scenario will relegate us, survival is there for the taking and is a manageable task, and even if we don't do our job the other club may cock it up for themselves.

I feel fairly confident apart from the creeping "disproportionately bad things happen to us" angst that we are all saddled with

I'm going to be completely honest, since January I was certain we would go down, absolutely certain. There was no week that went by that I felt we wouldn't go down.

Yesterday and today are the only days since January I've felt we are staying up. I don't know what it is for sure but I think it's Solanke being fit. Anyway I don't like feeling like this ..I preferred the feeling of accepting it and trying desperately not to care. Now I think we will stay up and care a lot.

A few weeks back to go into this game needing a win or a draw or even a defeat if West Ham don’t win I would have bitten your hand off to be in that position as I thought we where gone so I had come to terms with relegation weeks back.

Now I have hope, at least some hope but if we do go down it’s going to feel more crushing given the hope we had.
