Management Roberto De Zerbi

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

TalkSport commenting on the lack of new manager bounce.

I don’t think these bozos are capable of bouncing a beach ball!

Fans criticized Frank and rightly so.

Fans criticized Tudor and rightly so.

De Zerbi deserves as much shite as they got for his performance yesterday. Absolutely shocking from start to finish...and I'm including the post-match presser. Utter garbage.

Tbh danso coming back hes more of a warrior and plays for the shirt.
Unfortunately he’s also not very good. I’m not getting the warrior thing or playing for the shirt. What is he doing differently than anyone else that suggests that. Is it because he’s limited that he must have some great will to win for the shirt. Bit to fan fiction for me. The defence was all over the place yesterday after he came on.

Did he ever mention the refereeing decisions postgame?

It was one of the worst refereeing jobs we’ve dealt with this year which is saying quite a lot considering how much has gone against us this season.

I am seeing plenty of fans, both Spurs and others, reacting online but it really should be brought to light by officials of the club.

I've tried for an hour and nope, there is no lineup that's not fairly horrible.
We have a painfully shit

We need balance.

Play the best team not the best players. Gray and Bergvall ideally you want a DM behind them so sadly Bissouma or Palhinha need to be on, we need at least some width so Tel even though he isn’t an out and out winger, Richy can’t play right so left with Kolo Muani. Need creativity so Xavi.

433 it’s still not balanced but as close as I think we could do it.

Kinsky
Porro Danso VDV Udogie
Gray Palhinha
Xavi
Muani Solanke Tel

Pointless appointment. You get a di zerbi halfway through the season, not when you’ve only got 7 games remaining. At this point you should have appointed someone like Sherwood for the transition into CL football.

Fucking useless owners. What they want is a club of korean tourists on go karts and beyonce concerts. The football side is just a hindrance to them.
I don’t understand why anyone thinks a “firefighter” like Dyche or a club old timer like Sherwood would get us out of trouble.

De Zerbi was pretty much one if the best managers around in world football who would take us on.

Spoke with a pal who's a die-hard Goon today. Even he said we got absolutely robbed yesterday. Reminded me of that O'Nien foul on Udogie when he's clean through on goal in the first half...proper rugby tackle...nothing given.

But as usual nobody from within Spurs daring to say anything. Too worried of paying a fine. At least Tudor had the bollocks. De Zerbi is a weak prick.

De Zerbi is a credible Premier League manager.

My fear is that he is linked to Paratici.

For Spurs to stay up any players connected to Paratici need to be kept away from the starting 11 in my opinion.

Paratici is Levy's mate.

Levy stood by Paratici for the duration of his ban.

I suspect Paratici has been returning that favour since Levy was shitcanned.

Vicario, Romero, Porro and Udogie have all been doing their bit to drop Spurs in the shit.

Especially since these players all played Frank ball and didn't like doing the off the ball stuff, it's nonsense.

Hes terrible, it's madness that people don't see it, Danso himself knows he's out of his depth, it's written all over his face.

Pure passion merchants want Danso playing over Romero, same people that were convinced that Gallagher was going to offer steele and mentality in this team.

Xavi is our most creative player factually, it’s utter madness not starting him.
You may not rate him, but the others starting ahead of him, are even shittier & more ineffective.
Agreed. Yes, he's not the player a lot thought he'd be, but he's sure as shit better than Bergy at the #10. And Bergy is better at the #8 than Gallagher.

A huge issue people had with Tudor was not playing people in the right positions. Now people make excuses for it because they're dug into the view that new manager is the best thing since sliced bread. We've had it with Frank (I only joined as he arrived so I can't speak to the rest of the managers), until it was wayyyyyy too late. Judge managers on performances and things in their control before going over board with love for them. RDZ has done very little to warrant the overwhelming opinion that he's great. He could be, but I'll wait to judge him based on how we do.

Van de Ven seems to play so much worse with the armband, I wish he'd give it to someone else.
He's just not as good because we aren't playing the Kamikaze high line that let him run fast catch people. In terms of defending basics, he's beyond ordinary. Didn't Brobbey, who's half his size, beat him in the air for a good chance they should've scored from? For someone so big, he's pathetic in the air.

Way too early to judge. De zerbi needs to lift players morale. Thats the top factor atm.
No it's not. There was 7 games left to save our PL status. We don't have the luxury of bedding someone in. We've went after a manager that we don't have the right tools for him to succeed. That pairing of Palinha and Gallagher in midfield yesterday just sums the whole thing up. How are we supposed to play attacking football when he's playing those two together. Hiring him was the nail in the coffin. He'd have been there in the summer.

DeZerbi still gives me three impression of someone who's here very reluctantly based primarily on the financial incentive.

Don't think I've seen him crack a smile once since joining.

Not that there is a lot to smile about I suppose.
