Understand a lot of work done on keeping possession in training, but he's got to get them moving the ball quicker from the off, in games.

Tempo and intensity are key for us.

I was only able to watch the first half live but what I saw in the first 45 was much better than pretty much all of 2026 regarding the pace of play in the build up. It still all goes to shit as soon as we get anywhere close to goal, though.

These players have no idea what to do with the ball once they get within 30 yards to goal. Overhit passes, hesitation leading to a turnover, etc.

Im not optimistic this gets any better the rest of the season. It’ll take new players/lots of training to fix that issue.

I get what your saying but I think he probably wants it slowed down at times to reduce the amount of mistakes that we are still making.

I mean Porro alone probably gave the ball away 10 times in the first half

Whether we stay up or not I think De Zerbi will want to make wholesale changes to the squad, with a few surprises in store.

None of us know what system will be in place to bring players into the club but I will be staggered if we don't see a revolving door of 14 to 18 players.

The need to bring a different culture to the squad is abundantly obvious and if we do go down, much as it would be crushing it arguably enables change to happen more quickly.

The biggest of questions is how much backing De Zerbi gets to bring in the players he identifies as part of that transition.

I need him to come in every matchday press conference and say this about WH of NF opponents:
"I expect them to no do a Sunderland" or "I think they will not behave like Sunderland"

1- Have a dig at Sunderland and their ^&(% manager
2- Put some pressure on the whole league to act like the professionals they claim they are.

Needs to put an end to the Spence at LB experiment. There is no width with two right footed players on that side. It is near impossible to find space in the PL once you voluntarily remove 1/3 of the width of the pitch.
