How is it a good plan to reduce the numbers of the squad as long as we are facing several injuries? The squad will have to be trimmed for next year. 9 out and 6 in will be fine.

It’s what happens when you don't have European football, you're not going to keep loads of players that will barely play and have a large wage bill when you have fewer games and less revenue. Blessing anyway, as the club has far too many poor players on the books. How is it a good plan to reduce the numbers of the squad as long as we are facing several injuries?
Because we only have domestic football next year and based on our recent domestic cup pedigree, chances are we will only have 40 games to navigate. When you play in Europe and based on the current format, that is another 10-12 games minimum assuming we wouldn't finish lower than 24th in the group stage. So, we really need 25% bigger squad when you are playing regularly in Europe. How is it a good plan to reduce the numbers of the squad as long as we are facing several injuries?
100% agree. This is a fantastic opportunity to cleanse the squad. It's too bloated with average players on top wages. I would prefer to see 10-12 players leave including those out of contract and use the funds to buy 4 or 5 top draw players. Any player we buy has to be a clear upgrade on what we have, not just another 100k a week stocking filler. It’s what happens when you don't have European football, you're not going to keep loads of players that will barely play and have a large wage bill when you have fewer games and less revenue. Just block mate they thrive on attention.
I'm not sure who will buy those average players on top wages. Apart from us of course.100% agree. This is a fantastic opportunity to cleanse the squad. I honestly think his character flaws are shared by nearly all winners. I think having high standards is exactly what the clubs pervious three appointments didn't have. People glad to be here and in way over their heads. He is the first head coach as a player Id have real respect for since Conte. The problem with De Zerbi is that he’s got himself the hothead Conte reputation who has anuntil he falls out with the board…. Without any of Conte’s accolades.
In our position though, beggars can’t be choosers
Tudor will get a job at a midtable French or Italian club. Frank will probably get something in the Championship at a club like Birmingham or Norwich. Ange will never get another notable job again; he'll probably slink his way back to Australia once he's done grifting in the UK.RDZ will go on to manage one of the big Italian sides after us cant see that for the others. Listening to one of the journalists on a pod saying it was noticeable how no Brentford player went with Frank was very telling.
If he can keep us up he deserves £300m spending money and free rein to do whatever the fuck he wants to the squad.
Don’t want to hear a fucking peep from Lange or Vinai. Or ENIC for that matter. If we get bailed out it’s in spite of them. Be good little boys, take your medicine knowing that the financial hit you’re taking from a massive net spend is far, far better than the hit you’d have taken through relegation, pay the man, learn your fucking lesson.
LOL. Robertson, Bergvall, Kulusevski? Really? Why the downgrades vs now?How Tottenham could line up next season if they stay up with bumper contract for wonderkid, 19, to fend off Euro giants

One thing niggling at the back of my mind is that when RDZ keeps us up, ENIC will assume because of the U turn, our squad is adequate with this manager to stay in the PL. They only care about revenue from the PL, they know bugger all about the game and have no real ambitions for the club except the acquisition of money.
And I'm worried that this might shape our buying strategy for the summer....not much selling or buying...
They may be running things badly, and buying shite players, but I don’t think we can accuse the owners of not spending money. We’ve spent fuckloads. Not surprised you're feeling a niggle - this is exactly what they did after Conte got Top 4 (No Bastoni but Lenglet on loan); then again when Postecoglou got Top 5 (Solanke and kids); and then this season when they clearly thought simply changing manager would have us flying up the table.
On the + side they actually did hire the right manager this time. And I don't think he's the type to let them low ball if he keeps us up. But we'll see...
Also, our players aren't as bad as some on this board may have thought a few weeks back. We're a bit shite up-front for sure, but elsewhere we are for sure a top 6 squad IF we have a good coachThey may be running things badly, and buying shite players, but I don’t think we can accuse the owners of not spending money. I switch back and forth on this. On paper, a squad full of internationals on very good money, that could play for clubs around and above our stature, yet we find ourselves wallowing. Also, our players aren't as bad as some on this board may have thought a few weeks back. Maybe DeZerbi didn't want the job in Feb straight after leaving Marseille just like Conte didn't want the job in the summer when Nuno took over
