Very very true.... this is going to be worst one yet too as its pointless, primarily because unlike France, Sweden and Portugal, England were handed a bye

On the contrary I actually think it will be the best one because of all the WC playoff matches highlighted by the Ronaldo v Zlatan showdown, that one should be a cracker

I don't really enjoy watching England anymore, they're very boring tbh

I stopped watching/supporting in 2006, crying again after we went out on penalties, after they ended Paul Robinson's confidence too that was enough for me

Make the loser playoff with England for the final spot

Yeah I hated beating the filth 5-1 in the semis and then having the horror of beating Chelsea in the final...... Sad times.

Still its a bit ironic that we are slagging off a Spaniard who didn't even get one whole season but had a proven track record in Spain... Who'd have thought it eh....

Wonder if he can take pens :troll:

Just like my post on Jol it was very tongue in cheek. I should use smilies more often to convey what I mean.

'Sigh' ... yet again, the same stuff. He's not getting passes in the right areas and thus, is not able to take enough shots.

The main problem is by the time anyone ever thinks about passing to Soldado we've made 20 pointless passes around midfield and defense thus leaving him surrounded by 2 CBs and a couple of midfielders. Our build up play is akin to giving birth, painful and slow as fuck lol. I'm startn to worry that Freund is coaching the pass and move sessions. AVB needs to get his shit together as losing is one thing but getting your pants pulled down and gangbanged is not fuckn acceptable.

Fed up with all this "he's not getting the service " bullshit.

Who is going to pass to a player that is standing still, tightly marked and making minimal movements into space? I wouldnt, would you?

He's been a major flop. Looks slow and lazy. Not the only one granted. But we've had a problem up front for years now and it's never been addressed.

When we finally got into the Champions League that year, the club should have spent big and strengthened THAT squad. When you get to that level, you have to stay there, its tough to get back. But we didnt, and thats where all these problems began.

AVB out? Im not sure still. Who would we get? Someone needs to have a word with him. Really under pressure now. If we get knocked out of the cup by West Ham, I reckon his time will be up though.

So, is it every striker's fault or is it the way we play?

Every striker we try has the same problems. What is more likely to be the cause?

Yes. Every striker we have is simply not good enough.
Out of what we have, I'd play Ade up front. He did OK when he came on yesterday. At least he created space, moved about and had a go. Much more effective than Soldado.

But he's not the answer because he'll only do that in a handful of games, then go missing for the rest of the season. Just like Defoe.

If AVB wants to persist with his way of playing, then why didnt he buy a forward suited to it? Big mistake.
