I have never said Defoe deserves another shot. He is not good enough to be in our starting XI and any talk of him starting over Soldado is ridiculous for me but he is a great squad player for us and I hope he stays. I just said that simply due to the sheer amount of goals he has scored in our colours it warrants him being called a Spurs legend.
Jimmy Greaves is a legend but I don't think he deserves another shot either!

Crazy to think Paul Lambert has taken twenty something more shots that Soldado.
Split on the problem myself. Definately the midfield selection and set up is a problem, but Soldado needs to start making for himself too, or at least for others

Even though i am a fan of Soldado, i have to admit he didn't have his best game against Everton; on the other hand, he needs more crosses from our wingers, our wing play is what needs to be improved the most imo.
He will be waiting a long time for Lennon to cross from the left.
More likely to get a chance from a rebound off the bar/post from Siggy or one of Townsend's shots to get a deflection off the keeper or a defender.
Walker and Rose need to be playing in advanced positions to overlap to cross. But even then Soldado is likely to have 2 defenders in close attention.
We mainly need some good old fashioned creativity.
Avb and baldini realy didn't think the Soldado purchase through espicially Avb, Soldado is a brilliant player but clearly Avb isn't keen on wing play ( he wants inverted wingers). So now Soldado is a good player in a system that makes it hard on him to be efficient.
They was comparison between him and Negredo at the begining of the season, so far Negredo is different class, and that has to do with the fact that although city rarely play wingers they have class players to overcome any tactical imperfections, we dn't have that luxury.
I really hope Avb sees that he needs to try and accomadate soldado more tactically.

Another of your team-mates, £26million summer signing Roberto Soldado, is finding it more difficult to score goals. You get to see him in training every day and do you therefore expect him to soon show his class in the Premier League?
