Agree with the above, Soldado will get much more out of Eriksen than Holtby, Holtby will be more useful in other games, but I feel to break down these lot Lamela and the Dane have to start. Neither will happen, AVB plans his teams in advance and although I think Lamela will get on he won't start.

many people are saying he needs time, its his first season. need i remind you that he is 28? time is not on his side. we paid 27 million and for that kind of money you want an instant impact. im not doubting him. his goal against villa bared all the hallmarks of a competent and natural finisher. how about getting adebayor off his lazy arse and make him earn those ridiculous wages he gets. i think he would work with bobby, just like crouch and van der vaart where so successful, the big man small man method. its food for thought. we need goals and we need them NOW
If you take into account everything Soldado has going against him at the moment i think he has actually had a good start.

Opposing teams play 5 yards from their own goal against him
If no one passes you the ball there isn't a huge amount you can do to affect a game. Maybe he could work slightly harder off the ball if we are nitpicking, but i think he has had a solid start and will get better throughout the season, i expected 20 goals from him and he is on course

Formation/tactics doesnt suit any of our strikers, but with them we are told they are shit/lazy etc (Defoe this season/Ade last season). They do however go looking for the ball and also create chances for themselves.
Yeah he deserves some slack, but he also deserves a bit of criticism there is no one here who would have imagined he would have only one goal from open play 11 games in when we signed him.

If we'd forked out 26 million for benteke and he wasn't scoring we could question tactics etc as well as his ABILITY. A bloke who has scored 20 plus for 3 seasons running in a top 3 league needs cunts like u to get off his back and give him some support.. Avb's tactics haven't been suiting him, but when they do and with the fans behind him he will start banging them in..
