Sadly, as Soldado revealed, his wife, Rocío Millán, suffered a miscarriage recently. ‘A month ago she was pregnant but unfortunately she had a miscarriage and lost the baby two weeks ago,’ he said.
Soldado offered the fact quite naturally and freely.

Been posted on other forums too, would imagine it to be true as I can't imagine someone making up something as sick as this.

Apparently it was a couple of weeks ago, so would seem to be the reason Defoe came into the team.

Honestly, the way people are firmly in the pro/anti-Defoe/Soldado is pathetic. Neither have started the season that well, but both work well with Adebayor. Soldado's performance today was very similar to Defoe's on Wednesday too!
