I think you're interpretting it wrong. It's not as if they said 'hey idiot it's this...' the idea that someone can't have their grammar corrected, which could be helpful to someone who is not a native speaker for instance, is just a lame as correcting the grammar itself, something I'll admit also to be guilty of/willing to help with regards to on occasion.
It's demeaning though and pointless. The spelling, grammar and punctuation of all of us here is enough to make our point. It's not a job application or a thesis.
