Son's attitude seems to be little off, once he gets a ball he's not even looking for teammates. Gedson a bit lost, but shows quality, lacks confidence. Time will help with that
 
What has happened to son's decision making. So many times in the last 3-4 games he has had a great counter attack on and has held onto the ball too long or hits it straight at the keeper. Usually so clinical and also never looks for a pass when squaring it would probably result in a goal for someone else

Unfortunately, this looks like a game that can both ways. We can't afford to wasted any more chances if we want to progress into the next round.

Southampton are the home side, we've got a makeshift defense and Winksy playing as DM.
I thought Southampton were huff and puff, where as we had more guile and skill.

All the missed opportunities aside, I'm liking our chances in the second half. Our movement and passing has been better than in recent weeks and the energy has been up as well. Had we not been on such miserable form, I think most of us would be pleased by the team's performance so far.

Not easy to adjust to playing without Kane, the whole team struggling with that bit especially Dele and Son. They are used to playing off him, they know his movements and how to sync with them, playing with Lucas up there is completely different.

That is the one thing odd about Son. Sometimes he doesn't look for the pass when he should, and other times he's too unselfish and passes when he should just take it himself.
 
Lamela for Son at half. I think the early miss has gone to his head. Everything he’s done since has gone wrong, poor passing and not tracking his man.

the good: Dele has been decisive, Lo Celso bossing the midfield, Gedson’s been decent.
