Not really old school though.

Used to be hand to hand, bottles of Big Tennents and darts being thrown, being broken up by police horses and scores of plod flooding out of Black Maria vans.

Now it’s a gaggle of teenage neds, pretending to be held back by their pals.

I've been on the pitch several times and run the full length at least twice.

I'd need oxygen by the time I got to the 6 yard line these days.

I know personally it’s the last thing I’m interested in when going to a game you pay premium for tickets , you start running to the toilet fuck that, but todays escapade 1pm KO on a Sunday does the police or the Scottish FA totally clueless bound to know private clubs or supporters clubs , supermarkets etc fans to can get alcohol scoop it quick bang
I’ve never been one for drinking before the match either, even when I was tanking it back on a regular basis.

It’s really the only thing the authorities can do, make the kick offs early. People will get a hold of booze no matter when it is though. I would suggest that a lot of misbehaviour at football isn’t alcohol related anymore, it’s all powder related.

Aye, been close ties between the clubs since the early 80’s. Not my reason for support, but I know a lot that are connected through the fighting element. Just never been my thing, although I have spent a number of years being ASC adjacent, but having had no interest in being involved directly.

It all calmed down for years, but a lot of old faces popping up again up here.

So Celtic celebrate in front of Rangers fans at Ibrox, bring their own fans onto the pitch, spark a full pitch invasion, and then wonder why there is an away fan ban from the police...

This is why we can't have nice things.

I like Martin O'Neil but he can't advocate for away fans and at the same time celebrate with them on the pitch.

It just won't end well.

Weirdest thing is you can see a lot of them are only on the pitch for selfies with the players.

In fairness from the coverage the Celtic fans were with the players , they weren’t going up the pitch to the new co fans.
That said the state of the new co fans in their spider man balaclavas😂

I felt it looked mostly exuberance from the Celtic fans that spilled on initially. They were mobbing their own players

Dangerous to show any exuberance in victory when Rangers lose. Scottish Cup 1980, 2016 (when Hibs won Scottish Cup for first time on 114 years) or today. They’ll turn it into a full scale riot.

Yeah that’s a fair point.

As others have said, Celtic fans were going on the pitch to celebrate with the team and take selfies. Not a good idea for sure, but different from marching en masse the full length of the pitch donning masks and throwing flares into the away support.

As usual this will be reported in the ‘both sides’ fashion, but the truth is that this is the 3rd time in recent history that members of Celtic’s coaching staff have been assaulted at Ibrox. That’s a Rangers problem.

You're talking shite though.

Even if Woolwich celebrated in front of Spurs fans, and then Woolwich fans went on the pitch at WHL, some Spurs fans would retaliate in some way on the pitch to that provocation.

Fans only run on the pitch when rivals and their fans take the piss on the pitch.

Some Spurs fans have assaulted Woolwich and Chelsea players before.

Pretty much. If you lot hadn’t been jumping on the pitch, rattling their beads, Mince Charming , this wouldn’t have happened.

Generally though, you lot are less fucking horrendous than the huns, when it comes to Aberdeen at least.

But both supports are generally odious. A few good chaps no doubt, but a huge percentage of absolute scum.

Only been on the pitch twice, last season after the cup final and away at pompey in 91 in the cup when Gazza scored, stewards kindly opened the gates so we could exchange views on the game with the 6:57

Even Hampshire brought their horses out for a quick run about on the pitch.
