Shankland’s move to the Scottish Chav Huns is depressing. Hearts were so much better than the blue filth last year. Looks like Tony Bloom isn’t the perfect businessman folk like to make out. Desperately hoping the last season wasn’t the one season wonder it’s very likely to become.

Aberdeen is your Scottish team, I assume? I really enjoyed the league this season and can’t wait to follow it next year.

Are they are fun club to follow and watch?
Went to every match from about 79-89 with my father. Then work and life got in the way and that was that. Hardly watch at all now and have only been to watch one match in the last couple of seasons. The period from 81-85 will always be with me though. Best team in Europe back then.
Ah ok - Aberdeen going through another terrible patch. Ex Tottenham man in charge though so might get their shit together over the summer
Nah. They won’t.
The Yid Army and the ASC (Aberdeen Soccer Casuals) have a long standing alliance.

If anyone ever asks me my Scottish team i always say Aberdeen but all I know about them is they play in red (boo), they play at Pittodrie and they won at least one European Trophy under Alex Ferguson.
Two. Cup Winners Cup and Super Cup. Only Scottish club to have two.

First all seater stadium.
Invented dugouts.
Pittodrie is a Gaelic word meaning “shit hill” as it was built where the council used to stable their horses.
Signed a Belgian keeper, from a Dutch club who made his debut in England and scored on that debut.
First team to be knocked out of Europe on penalties.

There’s a few more for you bud. Bore your pals.

It was certainly true at the time. Can’t think of them being beaten since.

That 82/83 season, the ECWC defeat meant Real finished runners up in five competitions that season. Some team though.

Are you about the first all seater stadium? I've read that Meadowbank Stadium, home to Meadowbank Thistle, was the first in the UK.

There’s a debate to be had. Meadowbank was first, but its main purpose was athletics, not football. Think the abomination that host West Ham, but many times worse. Pittodrie was first football stadium and first all seated, all covered. Had to be covered as it’s fucking freezing.

Would have preferred to wait till after the WC to even think about giving Clarke a new deal.

I'm thankful for where he has taken the Scottish national team but don't think he is the man to take us any further forward (getting past group stages of tournaments).

Been reading that Celtic supporters don't want Robbie Keane as manager because he continued to stay as Maccabi Tel Aviv after the 'appalling crimes to Palestine'' that were ''ramped up'' post October 7th 2023. So he won't have the Celtic supporters on side. They often display Palestine flags during matches.

There's a newspaper reporting Glasner in the running for Celtic manager.

There's also disgruntlement about Robbie Keane being in the running as per my post above.
