Be interesting what the renewal rates would be if you had to personally turn up to e.g. 75% of matches. I’d be gone for sure. So expensive now that I carefully choose my home games. My seat always sells quickly too. Been different people sat next to me every home game I’ve attended as well so clearly a lot doing the same.

Man Utd just put their ST prices up 5% today. The holder needs to attend 16 of the 19 league games.
Must affect atmosphere if different people sitting in same areas each game at Tottenham .

Don’t see the point in having a season ticket then if you can’t go to every game, not when it’s easy to get tickets on the renewal. Most people doing this though is because the football is shit and the stadium isn’t as good as we’ll all initially thought.

For me, I can’t go to every home game, but I have a very decent seat that’s easy to pass on, and I’m still hopelessly dreaming that one year it all comes together and I love going regularly again. Being a Tottenham STH is almost part of my identity and the toxic addiction of being a proper fan. But I really haven’t enjoyed going to WHL in recent seasons.

Same. I gave mine up 3 seasons ago.

I have been to 6 games this season (one was away). I like being able to pick and choose and not having the commitment. I might do 1 or 2 more.

Having a 5 hour round trip on public transport is no fun. Especially on Sundays and at night.

With the money I am saving I have been doing a lot more gigs, cinema and lower league matches.
Variety is the spice of life.

Big big respect though to the fans that do renew every season. Far more hardcore than me.
I've had mine since 1998/1999 - I was soo excited & we won a trophy!

I kept going then 2008 we did it again! Ten year wait but I was there felt amazing!

2019 another ten years later I was there in that UCL final...I got behind the team, the club everything. I've said before that was my worst day as a Spurs fan but at least we contended & I was in Spain, at least I enjoyed the sun & ladies but I kept going.

This season has broken me if I'm honest - it's my own fault for having standards thinking these scumbags were using my money effectively - it's not just our position in a table I honestly haven't seen a Spurs team look like they just don't care anymore...

anyways who cares innit I'm saving money - if they even win ANYTHING I'll just buy a per game ticket...

Yeah same. I’ve wanted to keep it as much as I want to give it up in recent years. I’m in the same boat as you. The champions league final and var have ruined it for me basically on top of us just being shite. It just isn’t as fun as it was. Think I’m done now really as when I don’t go, I don’t miss it as much as I did. Hopefully we get new owners soon and it gets better but how much longer can we wait for that.

Yeah when I gave mine up I realised how many times I was selling them on or giving them away. Probably closer to 50% than 75%.

Couldn’t go mainly due to weird kick off times or having games I was coaching clash.

Felt a bit like I was just paying for a life asset - ie I had 2tickets for Woolwich, Liverpool, CL games etc etc.

But I think if COVID hadn’t of happened I would have just carried on the same way tbh. Just had a bit of a mind shift. Thanks to that enforced absence didn’t miss it a much as I thought.

Didn’t even really save money!!

Kitted out my home gym and got a dog which between them costs me far more money than spurs ever did!!

I think more and more people just share them these days tbh.

Just like a family holiday home. You’re not always the one using it.
I've shared I think about 30% of my tickets this season - for a few reasons mainly cos my godkids, brother or friends get a free day out to see their team for free - I have good seats that are relatively family friendly & non-hostile but coming to the judgements - I don't judge people especially when it comes down to their own money as everyone is free to do whatever they want with it.

I'm ok not being called 'real fan' for not renewing it because I've been all over Europe to see Spurs - I actually had fun even though we lost the CL final in spain those many years ago & I kinda look back on it as funny as how heavily invested I was then :D

I do watch other matches with other teams in other leagues - I'm focusing my attention ontho Charlton FC's playoffs to get into the championship :)
