You can literally buy a membership during the summer and get offered a season ticket the next day.
The waiting list is just a money making exercise these days.

2023/24 Seat Relocation Request
Brought my membership in October, never got offered a half season ticket in January like a few people i know?
Thought they only offered a certain amount each year? Why are there 100000 people on a waiting list if they offer them to everyone?
And those renewing are like turkeys voting for Christmas?
We did this poll last year pretty sure it was a 20 or 25% non renewal. When the stats came out it was the same renewal rate as normal. Although it will be higher this year with all the discontent.
Did they ever release the season ticket renewal stats last year? I never saw that information. Usually part of the annual report but wasn’t in there.
Not sure how long you have supported Spurs but the list is linked to people who want early access to tickets. Now we are in a position where more people are giving up season tickets than those who want them.
Most of the people in the list have no plans to buy a season ticket. Generally speaking most people who wanted a season ticket got one when we went to Wembley.
From my own experience I had a season ticket which I gave up. Got a membership and could have got a season ticket straightaway.
Been supporting spurs for nearly 40 years, not really sure why that is relevant?
First time I’ve had a membership for a while, had a season ticket from the early 2000s for about 6 seasons but not been much since until this season.
From what I’ve read and people I know it’s not as easy to get a season ticket as you have stated, you might be getting one because you have had one recently and your points total is high??
I’m currently 123000 in the list and that is a hell of a lot of people to turn down a season ticket before I get offered one
You have been a member here since 2020 so wasn’t sure if you were quite young or just didn’t know many other spurs fans you could ask the question of. The list has been running since 2009ish so it’s not a new thing.
I know 10+ people who are 30k or less on the list and not one of them would take an ST.
123k members is a huge increase. I think when I rejoined I was c80k.
So whether the 50k who have recently joined all want season tickets I have no idea, but going on the law of averages the chances are about 0.0000001% if that being the case.
