Last year did Cotswolds, Norfolk, Kent x 2 and Cornwall on my ST money.
This year Kent, Devon, Dorset and the Lake District. What to try and squeeze some time in Italy as well at some point.

Every penny helps!
Yeah I can see why people can't afford it, particularly those with young families and mortgages. And with fuel, parking, food and beer it's almost double that. Plus cup matches. It's mad really.

Yep.

Huge commitment and why I have massive respect for those that go away as well.

Time and energy aspect - apart from the money involved - is something the club should never take for granted.

What's the secret? Normally you're looking at £1k a week for accommodation alone these days. Camping in lay-bys?

Two season tickets and associated food and travel costs etc. Worked out was easily spending £150 a match.

Mainly weekends away rather than whole weeks. St Ives was the most pricey last year but still found a good “bargain”on Airbnb fir a week down there.

I used to have a season ticket before I had kids, then I couldn’t afford or have the time for one for 15 years. Now my wife has gone back to full time work and my kids are not interested in talking to me anymore I might as well go and have a few beers and watch spurs 😂

Anyone else still on the fence? I’m in a place of thinking I shouldn’t renew, partly as it’s time to show something more meaningful than tutting after every home game, and partly to see if I actually miss it. Can’t quite imagine not being an active Spurs fan though.

I'm not renewing. There are several reasons for this but our lack of vision/identity/strategy/direction on the pitch for the past several years is undoubtedly one factor.

I also feel given the size of our stadium and fact we've been dull for several years a canny member will get tickets for virtually any fixture expect the NLD.

Well, I still haven’t renewed yet despite telling myself I was going to. I wouldn’t say I was on the fence, just apathetic about doing it.

Do what makes you happy. And If that’s going to Spurs then renew.

You only live once….. (I think)

Me and the boys have bit the bullet and renewed for another season - I’m sure we’d find other stuff to fill the void especially with the amount of games showed live on tv but we all just look forward to going to games - as legacy fans 😂 we don’t have to win every week but it better be a progressive manager who entertains so we can enjoy watching our team COYS

Stayed at a lovely Airbnb this weekend.
They have offered us 20% off any future visits. The joys of being great guests.

Result!!! :freundgoal: :freundgoal:

However journey back we decided that buying a new car is a good idea. So a new car for us.

Oh and another (used) one for our son:dierno:

This spending time together malarkey is bloody expensive……….. my advice to all stick to going to watch football.

Think I'll stop the renewal for Spursplay, not sure I really used it that much.
Yeah that was a red line for me. I decided that I already spent enough on the club and didn't need another subscription channel to go with Sky, BT, Amazon and Netflix. Come to think of it, now we're out of Europe I'll be discussing BT with Sky when I renew my contract in a couple of months.

Two other Spurs-related things I don't buy anymore: match programmes and new kit. I have enough Spurs shirts to last me the rest of my life and never read the programmes anyway when I did buy them.

Agreed - I gave up programmes when we went to Wembley- still can’t quite bring myself to get rid of the huge pile I’d accumulated before then though.

Good reminder about spurs play - I’ve barely used it - games were always available too late. I only pay for sky / bt sport if we’re away and I couldn’t get tickets. Might pay for it for the ashes but that’s a different ball game :)

Wish you could buy away games on tv from the club as a season ticket holder.
