For those that have forgotten or don't remember, this is what a Spurs winner looks like:

And, I hate to post it, but this is what Champions league loser looks like:

And this is what someone who's perfectly happy that we've reached the Kerching finals of the CL looks like and celebrates the loss in a hotel afterwards:

:levywhoa:

I want to see us win. I want that wonderful feeling of seeing us blast away the oppo and loft some silverware in the air. I don't want to see Daniel Levy pop open a champagne with his buddies because he's boosted his bank account if we get 4th. Fuck that all the way to Fuck Off Land.

Football is a sport. You win or you are a loser. Everybody who plays sport understands that. It's that simple.

Silverware or GTFO.

I can't see Ange lasting the season. This isn't a part of the project, losing at home to Ipswich, away to Palace, its not part of it and we cant use it as an excuse. We rested players and threw away a competitive game against Galatasaray and still lost. Same way we rested players for the Palace game and still didn't show up and lost that too. Saying its a "project" is just a cheap way to get out of the firing line of a loss. I see through that now, and I believe we are only going in one direction under Ange and that isn't upward.

I think this is at the root of most our frustration.

Yes, Spurs are in a better position than 95% of football clubs. We have some exciting players and occasionally put in stunning performances. Sometimes.

But a fundamental part of supporting the club is that hope that maybe, some day, glory will come. Most clubs have that, across all leagues - be that the hope of promotion, an FA Trophy, play offs, FA Vase, whatever.

At Spurs the Board has decided that the glory is in qualifying for Europe, because that brings in steady revenue. There is no emphasis on winning anything, which filters into recruitment, and into players' attitudes.

Kane said it all - losing at Spurs is no big deal. Conte, as much as I hated his tactics, said it too.

So, it's not that we're ungrateful, it's because there is basically no hope of glory anymore. I didn't always feel this way about Spurs under ENIC, but the CL final and the subsequent managerial merry go round has killed it for me.

I truly hope Ange gets us over the line in the Europa League, I do think that's feasible, but it'll be down to him and the players' own determination, not because the club has a winning ethos.

At the level to which Spurs “SHOULD” be aspiring too I totally agree

Possibly….

City always start slow so nothing to see here.
Woolwich about the same as past 2 seasons
Chelsea are better than same period last year
Villa the same
Newcastle about the same
United starting to show signs of improvement since Ten Hag gone

However
Brighton are better
Forest are bettwr
Fulham are better

The reality is 10 good teams don’t fit into 4. 10 good teams don’t fit into 6 or 7. Therefore every season 3-4 big clubs will be disappointed. I think over the next 5 years, 2 out of the top 4 teams will be different every season. All big clubs will go through phases of ‘poor’ seasons. The key is not to panic but also not to have 2 poor seasons in a row.

I just think this could be our ‘poor season’ before a big league campaign next year.

We’re 10 points worse compared to last season!!! That’s the wildest swing among all teams in Premier League. Yes, no other club have won/lost more points than that. Bournemouth are close with +9 points.

So only Liverpool and Chelsea have improved compared to last season, the other clubs are doing worse. Brighton have one more point compared to last season.

Fulham and Forest are much better like you said and you could add Bournemouth to that list, they had 6 points in 23/24 and now they have 15.

Brentford about the same, West Ham 14 points in 23/24, 12 points in 24/25, Palace a lot worse this season…

The "fun" fact is we haven’t even played against those significantly improved clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea, Fulham, Forest or Bournemouth to say well we dropped points against overachieving clubs. We lost against clubs that are underperforming compared to last season stats: Woolwich, Newcastle, Palace and clubs that are doing about the same or have no comparison stats: Brighton and Ipswich respectively.

Truth is that Ange has picked up where he left off last season. Marginally better perhaps due to Solanke. but that's about it.
We are playing our football. Mate.

We've been shite, losing to Palace and Ipswich is unnaceptable.
This is it, anyone can have a blip in 1 game but those 2 horrors are in our last 3 league games. The Brighton 2nd half was only 5 games ago.

In the last 8 months we've also lost at home to Wolves and 3-0 at Fulham. Embarrassed at Newcastle and Chelsea against reserve teams. This isnt a one off blip or a bad patch, its a pattern that has been going on for months. Recent form, shite, long term form, shite. I just dont know what some are expecting to change.

Richard Arlison is expecting us to gel and blow people away. Really if you remove the first 10 games of last season, Ange would be long gone. And that was a new manager aberration. Only problem is that whoever takes over would also fail!

The results are mind boggling but some of the performances are actually decent.

Traditionally a manager who is having mixed fortunes either turns a positive corner and puts together a series of convincing victories or the opposite happens and the team are administered some serious humpings or a sequence of unnaceptable results and performances. This happened to AVB, Nuno, Jose and Conte.

When Spurs lose under Ange it is usually by the odd goal, against teams we expect to not lose to, and Spurs remain in the game even when they are poor.

I've never experienced this with a Spurs manager before.

I'm watching out for the Fulham game we have coming up. Marco Silva and Eddie Howe have both managed a lot of Premier League games, have got the better of Ange's teams most of the time and could potentially do better than Ange with the group of players Spurs have at the moment.

I also think that both Son and Romero's futures at the club are uncertain.

This could be a major reason why we are stalling again.

Who is this 'we' you speak of?

“We”

Now who does that sound like?

D******?

End of December. We will know all we need to know by then. I think it'll really fracture the fanbase if we pull the plug now.
Let's see ho horrific things can get when we have a run of tough looking fixtures.

City A
Roma H
Fulham H
Bournemouth A
Chelsea H
Rangers A
Southampton A
United H
Liverpool H
Forrest A
Wolves H

That's 11 games. What I would do and what Levy will do are different though. If we were to lose our next 3 league games, I think he's gone.
City away will be hard, especially as they're under pressure. Fulham are playing well and we play them 3 days after a ropey league game. Then Bournemouth away looks interesting and is away on a Thursday 3 days before a home game Vs Chelsea.

It could be coming to an end before the end of December and that's just what I think will happen, not what I hope for.

Football is a sport. You win or you are a loser.
not for levy though, hes winning if the clubs making good money as a business, hes a businessman not a sportsman. i mean look at the bloke, hes never played a game in his life, probably a little tarty 5 a side kick about with a bunch of nerds is the most intense game hes ever played. i bet he was fully behind making son captain because it was straining them udders even further and getting every drop of milk he can out of it.

i remember when we got conte and a lot of people were saying that is was his last throw of the dice lol. that failed, the next ones failed. now what? the little nerd clearly cant get it right for love nor money.

this clown hes hired now has to go tho, simply awful. levy has had chances over the last 20 years to get it right and he couldnt do it. investment was needed when we had berbatov and keane up front. he let opportunity pass him by when it was clear that was a golden moment. he then did the same when we had modric and bale! then you could argue he done it yet again around 2018, yet again just a couple of real stars to take us to the elite level.

the opportunities have been there for him by pure luck. the moron still couldnt get it right.

Lol, I'm not sure Spurs has a cup pedigree. In 40 years, Spurs have won 2 milk cups.

Or are we talking about the 60s when football players were part time Bus Drivers?

In modern football, Spurs have really won nothing but a milk cup.

Since 1984 (40 years) we have won a Uefa Cup (84), an FA Cup(91) , 2 league cups(99/08), had a Champions league final (2019), 4? league cup final losses (00, 09, 15, 20). 1 FA Cup final (87), 8 FA Cup semi finals. (93, 95, 99, 01, 10, 12, 17, 18,

Compare that to the likes of Spam, Newcastle, Villa, Everton etc and none have won any/many nor been to so many semi's and finals.
