Match Simon Whatshisface Boys vs. The Mighty Spurs Sunday 27th Oct 2pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

How often do you see kulu or Johnson actually try to beat a player?
Kulu has beaten many players this season, both in the middle with quick clever turns on the ball, sometimes taking out their whole midfield, and other times wide right when he has skinned a defender or wide-mid. Not to mention the times he cuts inside and gets shots away etc in the box. Kulu has beaten players loads of times this season.

If anyone at the club is serious about progressing we have to start bringing in a few more experienced players alongside all the young talents. We have to be able to stay composed under pressure which we simply can't do with this group of players. Expecting fickle players like Bissouma and Romero to lead the team is never going to work.

That first half was completely on the players. They were complete shit.

Ange's subs were poor, but today I am far more irritated with the underlying team. There has to be both personal and collective responsibility with the players.

I'm not really too fussed on Ange anymore. I think he'll be gone by December, so there's no point fretting. My main issue with him isn't even his tactics. It's just his behaviour in interviews and pressers. He's a cock.
Unexpected and funny-because-true end to that post. 😂

I'm not sure what your point is though. Yes, sometimes you play bad and still win - we did it a lot under Jose at the beginning of a season a few years back if remember rightly? But so what? That's more good fortune than anything else. I'd rather have good performances. I mean obviously I'd rather win games, but over time, i.e. over 38 games most seasons, it is the best football that has played the best football that has the most points. So yes, sometimes you can play badly and win, but we've not really been in a position to test that this season (in my opinion, today is the first game we've 'played badly', and we've not gotten lucky and won it - but it's just one game, it doesn't signify anything).
If be inclined to agree...
Except, we've played some SCINTILLATING football at times this season, yet here we are, staring at 4 defeats in 9, and arguably our worst start to a season (results wise) since the days of Ramos!

It just doesn't correlate to our good performances, as they're not getting fully rewarded (Leicester, Newcastle) yet every BAD performance is getting fully punished!

We were utterly fucking rancid today. We throw in these types of performances 4-5 times a season, where we just can't even do the fucking basics. It doesn't matter who's in charge, who's on the pitch, what era we're in, we just look like a bunch of pub players who've met each other that day.

No heart, no desire, no fluidity, no standards.

Was it the game to give Moore his start? Probably not in hindsight, but as has been said many times this season, Werner hasn't been worth a wank and he was very good for a time on Thursday. Welcome to the big leagues kid. The subs did fuck all, prime Messi himself could've come on today and we would still have pissed it away. Nobody comes out of today with any credit at all imo. Moore excepted, none of the shit today was on him at all. We've just seen those performances time and again, under everyone.

Service to solanke absolutely non existent again. What happened to getting the ball low across the box? Have hardly seen it this season when it was almost all we did last. Lost count of the amount of times the ball is begging to be crossed into the box and we just haven't done it.

Credit to palace though tbh, they wanted it more, showed a bit of fight and got through it. Eze was very good, his touch for the goal was just incredible, so was Wharton. They've got the bones of a decent enough side there.

Got to say I find it a bit odd that people give that much of a fuck as regards to what a manager says in a press conference and they actually watch these things. It's all just lip service anyway, fuck the media. Bunch of self important cunts who think they are gods gift.

I'm fairly sure a load of us said this before, during and after the transfer window closed. And the window before that.

Thought we purchased gray for that role. Strange how Wharton came in mid season from champo , straight into starting 11 and gets into England squad. Gray must have been better than him in the champo? If they trust him then why doesn’t Ange. His subs are nearly always the same. Surely if he takes off both MADDs and kulu then you’d at least give Lucas a go. Other teams try it nothing to lose.
Nah- I didn't mean for us- I meant he's going to get a big money move somewhere generally this next summer. He's too classy and English a CM to stay there much longer.

My freind Nuno won a league with more competitive money spent in it than the ones Postecoglou brags about winning. Then you look at where he took Wolves, then factor in constraints in terms of the way he wanted to play and the fact the club messed up his appointment so profoundly he had zero authority, as opposed to the money Postecoglou got to spend...There's a bit of a taste about Nuno's summary dismissal and how quickly the fans turned as apposed to how there's folks still prepared to die for 'Matey mate'. Despite mounting evidence the man's way out of his depth.
I never was that excited by Nuno's appointment, but yea I was surprised he got the boot so quickly- and for a total has-been in Mourinho as he already was at that point. I'm quietly happy for Nuno to see that he's got Forest playing well right now- a bit of a redemption arc for him as he, rightly or wrongly, fell out of consideration for any other big jobs after his dismissal from us.

He's only humiliating himself with his behaviour in interviews. He's done. This obviously won't work only the credulous believe in Santa and this junk. We need to get in a decent coach and Guehi would be a solid person for VDV to learn centerback alongside.

"If you make substitutions, you might win a game you didn't deserve to."

"If I was worried about scoring goals and winning games, I'd worry about working on set pieces more specifically."

When I hear people IRL saying things like this, I get worried and try to limit my risk and exposure to them.

I don't want to pile on, and I don't want him to fail, but these quotes are absolutely insane classics that will stand the test of time. (yes I obviously sarcastically paraphrased them, but really they pretty much imply the same thing).

Real Cup tie approach by Palace today,
Not off the cuff too was well executed game management.ie in their face, bit of niggle, hunt in no’s ,dont let them settle into any kind of rhythm.
Was a day to be compact and just win every battle in front of you.
Why o why we continued to play out from back each and every time beats me.
Small park, just get the ball over the top now and then to not be so predictable.
Great saying if you cant win the game dont lose it…
Great song the Beatles “Long and Winding Road”
