3.5/10. :harryhmm:

It'll probably be Maddison and Kulusevski in the midfield 3 again. Which isn't a disaster.. We've played some beautiful football at times with them there.. But I can't shake the feeling that more often than not, that midfield is too lightweight for premier league football. I feel like the Man Utd game was an anomaly in that regard.

Balance is sometimes more important than just getting all your best creative players on the pitch.

Justin in pessimism shocker. :adewtf:
This tiresome Dr Tottenham fuckry, makes zero sense. Because most of the time we beat the teams we are supposed to and lose to the better teams. It's boring and statistically just wrong. Unless people are supprised when a EPL on a losing run of games wins, because guess what all fucking losing runs of a team good enough to be in the EPL will end!! Against someone at some point! ITS STUPID GOONER SHIT!!

Can you guess the last time we lost to a team that was on a bad run of form?

Probably Leicester under Conte. Where they beat us 4-1. And even then, they'd beaten Emerys Villa 4-2 the week before.

And that was 20 months ago.

Most of the team seems to pick itself with Son, and Spence unfit, and most rested wholly or partly for Thursday's game v AZ ...... but who plays on left wing :

Vicario
Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, UIdogie
Sarr, Bissouma, Kulusevski
Johnson, Solanke, ?????
Options for left wing include :
Werner - fit but confidence in front of goal poor
Richarlison - Possible, but subbed after 64 mins in his first start after injury. Palace game too soon for him to start, possibly a sub
Odobert - 5 mins as a sub on Thursday, likely a longer sub but not a start v Palace
Maddison - Playing as a LW not ideal for him but certainly a possibility and adds more goal involvements.
Moore - Great performance on Thursday. Needs a rest before next start though.

So I'm coming to the conclusion its between Werner (played 45 mins on Thursday) and Maddison (played 73 mins on Thursday) as to who starts LW v Palace but whoever starts is likely to be subbed.

Subs from : Forster, Davies, Gray, Dragusin, Bergvall, and 3 from (Werner, Richarlison, Odobert, Maddison whoever doesn't start), Moore

Can't stand palace. Really hope this is the year they fuck off out of this league.

We will beat them, but it'll be a scrappy, shit game I think. They're just spoilers and it'll be difficult for us. 2-0.
I feel sorry for them to be honest, every time they try to shift to a more expansive style they go on the sorts of runs they are currently on and end up having to get Hodgson back to make them eye bleedingly boring again.

Reckon they might go for Moyes this time

I'm not exactly shitting myself against an underperforming palace!

Spurs for the win, one point below the scum, who'll drop into sixth.
i hope for early spurs 3-0 lead cuz like fulham ground i hate the palace ground feel like spurs always struggling in smaller grounds like Selhurst Park

I think Bentancur starts simply because he'll probably miss the rest of the year if the FA get their way...

Bissouma, Sarr and Gray will get plenty of opportunities during that period!

Maddison and Kulu might be worth trying again, especially if we have Sarr on the bench to help out like he did last Saturday...

Johnson, Solanke and Odobert/Moore as the front 3 for me...

Werner needs a break from the first team... from Football, and probably from this Country if truth be told!

There is a name for that. It is called:

‘The West Ham way’

We have the oppose issue. Everytime we hire a defensive manager it falls to shit, I don’t think I have ever seen a defensive coach work at Spurs save the first season under Conte and even then Conte is more attacking than Nuno or Jose.

I just don’t fancy us here at all, I pray I am wrong but I feel like I have seen this movie before.

We’re flakey away from home and were up against a side that will be absolutely desperate, that will be happy to sit deep against us and then hit on the counter and make the most of set pieces.

I just hope I am wrong
I take it you haven't seen Crystal Palace play this season? I've watched a few of their games and they seem to be dead in the water.
