I voted keep him.
I think it's clear Ange has a plan but it's not a computer game so it takes more one season to sort and it causes considerably more achy balls. Got to deal with it if we ever want to transform ourselves into a successful team on the pitch. It's insane to keep chopping managers. Levy has made his bed now, there ain't anywhere to hide, no excuse to not back this manager after the recent financials. Not just in transfers in but do not fuck around getting rid of players unwanted by Ange. These last few games including Fulham have tested the faith and made me mad at the time, but currently the squad is incomplete and not fit for purpose.. I believe that can be resolved though. First 10 games with no injuries and players in form is the glimpse to the future under Ange, that is my belief / hope.

This season has had a huge amount of mitigating factors but many of you gloss over them like they are trivial things.

Just think with all their riches and ridiculous team / manager, if Rodri doesn't play, Man City struggle a lot. Just one player and they often struggle.. 5 loses in 11 games without him. Don't forget they are a side years in the making, fancy players everywhere, extremely well-versed in the managers tactics... But one player lost makes them almost 50% likely to lose! They lost to Wolves, Newcastle and scum too.

So with all the shit that's happened to us this season are we really doing that badly?
I don't think so.. it's exciting we have a manager who seems like he wants to build something.. just be patient and give him time.

Tell me about it. I have tried bin voting Bazali Bazali but that guy has more lives than a cat in this place.

Oh you mean Ange. :pochcry:

Don't really care I know full well we won't get the required quality in the summer and ange will get the axe because of it. Happens all the time under enic. 23 years of hoping but not delivering drains the energy out of me. I will say the loss to Chelsea and Liverpool comprehensively with no fight was shocking. Tired of the endless promise each season and ends in a whimper. So many times we could of pushed on one step further and we don't I just can't see it happening finally.

2. if the losing streak continues into the autumn and/or he totally loses the dressing room, then he'll be toast regardless.
Sounds ruthless but this is why I'm pro sacking him this summer. I've seen absolutely no evidence he's able to stop the rot, we've been trending downwards since October, we seem to get worse each week. And I'd rather get a new manager this summer than flail about for one in November. Having to do the whole Ryan Mason/Tim Sherwood mid-season cycle again genuinely gives me nightmares.

how can you sack a manager who has earned us more points this year than last, has a better win rate than klopp and arteta in their first year

These sort of manager comparisons without context are pointless. Frank Lampard had a better win rate in his first year than Arteta, Klopp, and Ange. So did Erik Ten Hag, and so did Conte with us. In hindsight all of those clubs would have been much better off getting rid of those managers in the first summer.

On the subject of Ange, his points tally is fine but that's not the problem. It's the fact he got half of them in the first 10 games - before you can realistically implement any ideas - and have been trending down ever since. The more time on the training pitch he gets with the squad the worse we get.

Our form since mid October has us roughly 12th. We get worse week on week and he shows no evidence of being able to stop the rot.

His managerial decisions are utterly baffling, he completely neglects the best performing youth academy in the country. He's only had 40 games to contend with this season but our squad looks knackered.

He has the best back 5 since Poch's 2017 side but we ship goals for fun.

He plays the same way every week regardless of which players are available or which team we face.

He's incapable of making in game tactical adjustments. He's already talking about players not buying into his methods and needing new ones.

That's why.

A good, reasonable counter argument posted by an intelligent and literate poster...you don't belong here 🤣🤣🤣

I jest of course! It was a good counterpoint, however, klopp and legohead were stuck with despite many down moments so I just find polls like this pointless and scream 'entitlement'

I think we'll beat Burnley and Sheff Utd and lose to Man City. That should see us get 5th, and sacking him in that situation would be absurd. I am concerned by our drop-off through 2024 though.

I say keep but

a. Hire a specialist set piece coach
b. Set fire to the playing squad and fully back him in the window

If we still look shitty around Christmas then I would be tempted to pull the trigger then provided we've done a) and b) but probably not before. I am not convinced but neither do I think the experiment has run its course. I don't see anyone obvious who could come in and instantly improve us either.

Being realistic we are in a results business and if we continue next season as we've ended this one he will be gone as no manager can survive that run of form.
I'll take that TBH...

The thought of losing to either Burnley or Sheffield Utd, meanwhile beating Man City (and simultaneously helping the Arse to the title) is the stuff of apocalyptic nightmares!

Next/final 3 games have to be WLW in THAT order!
