A lot of people who haven’t watched much Brentford. Tied for 5th in the league this year in goals scored after losing their striker. 10th the year before. 7th the year before that. They are not a sit and counter team…

They are a generic, template PL, analytics team like Newcastle. Press high, drop into mid/low block, then look for counters and set pieces. Try to shithouse and destroy the flow of the game against more intense footballing teams like City.

Really they have nothing unique or trademarked to the way they play at all.

I didn't think it was possible for me to get drawn back in by the shitshow that THFC has become under the ENIC bean counters.

Thomas fucking Frank?

Really?

16th, 9th, 13th and 9th.

Long ball, counter attacking football?

Would Liverpool appoint him?

Or United?

Then why would Spurs consider this guy?

Fuck off Levy you cheap bastard.

If you can't get THFC a proper manager then fuck off with Ange .
Wow never finished 17th like Ange.

Why is the head to head against Ange relevant? Ange has better players at his disposal.

The reason Brenford finish higher is because Frank has a team that is greater than the sum of its individual parts over the course of the season. A sign of a good coach.

Ange is precisely the opposite. Just because we beat Brentford twice is largely irrelevant in terms of looking at Frank as a suitable candidate.

And the game at their place they squandered a whole host of chances and should of beaten us.

Exactly, looking at the head to head is just daft. Shall we hire Van Nistelrooy because he has a 100% winning record against Ange?

Brentford do have possession patterns, they have multiple ways of playing it’s not just counterattack.
Rubbish! Why is their away form so much better than their home form then?

Did you know they went 10 home games in a row this season without a win? Including a 1-0 defeat at home to plymouth in the fa cup...

They are great at setting themselves up to stop teams and cause them issues on the counter. But they are like a rabbit in the headlights whenever a team sit back and play them at their own game.

I've watched them play loads. They always struggle when teams sit against them.

Hence why their away form is so much better than their home form. Sitting and countering against better teams is when they are at their best.

I think Frank has reached his ceiling at Brentford. Coaching them to be well setup against better teams. Tactically very good and adoptive during games. But one big theme. They struggle at home when teams don't open up against them.

He's a terrible fit for Spurs. Teams park and the bus and shithouse us every game. They don't just approach us and play open football like teams do against Brentford most games.

I can small alot of 0-0 draws at home and won't be long before people get fed up of it. I don't think Frank has this high ceiling where all of a sudden he'll have us knocking the ball around fast and suffocating teams. He's not that guy.

I don’t think things work like that. So he’s talking with Spurs about potential summer transfer targets while being manager of Brentford.
It’s fairly standard in a PL manager’s job interview for them to ask the candidate what his plans for the side would be, where would he like to strengthen, what profile of targets, etc? Obviously, they wouldn’t tell him their list of targets from their analytics and scouts as he’s still basically a rival, but the discussions defo happen.

Frank won't work. It's a really bad fit. It's Nuno all over again.

Maybe like Nuno we should just persist and become a hard to beat pragmatic team. But that's not spurs. That never was spurs. We don't accept the not scoring at home regularly.
