Good things aren't allowed to happen for us

We'll be stuck with Ange for another 12 months until levy gets bored tormenting us in this way

And then he'll go and step it up a level and hire Steve Bruce

Much as I respect Silva and Frank we really shouldn’t do a 180. Needs to be a front foot manager in style, obviously better than Ange.

1 attacking in sprint
2 tactically flexible
3 develops players (most important)

For me Xavi Alonso, Pochettino, Iraola seem the type.

There's more chance of the Pope turning Muslim than us acquiring Xavi Alonso as our next manager. If he comes to the PL it'll probs eventually be someone like Citeh.

I know time is factor re other clubs getting a head but this Iraola chap would a second season syndrome option not be advised?

Yeh maybe the flavour of the month but they do play very well organised and their attacking patterns if you can call it that look decent. Seems more like Poch at Saints type situation.

Not buying the Poch regen thing at all.

They are on a horrible run and running out of gas big time. Can’t break down low blocks and it’s not even great football to watch.

He probably gets his shot at a bigger club with Bilbao. Let’s see how that goes first.

Best stadium in the world, highest ticket prices, we need to get the best available and give them 2-3 elite players and build around the incredible youngsters we have and academy kids coming through

If you want to go with a PL proven manager you have a handful of options that have been discussed here at length. No need to elaborate further on them.

If you want to look abroad, there are more than enough managers that have been achieving top-half/European football finishes for consecutive seasons with good-not-great clubs. Alguacil with Sociedad, Italiano with Fiorentina and probably with Bologna this season, Gasperini with Atalanta, Hütter with Monaco, De Zerbi with Brighton and Marseille all belong here. All decent shouts.

You also have those who are on a downward trajectory at the moment, but can potentially turn things around in a much bigger club soon. Michel of Girona and Hoeness of Stuttgart immediately come to mind, but I'm sure there are some more.

Don't be led astray by those who tear everybody and their dog down. Especially if they happen to be the same people who bought into Ange hype and now suffering from buyer's remorse, and are too worried about their personal pride on an anonymous internet forum to admit that they were horribly wrong. They are not arguing in good faith.

Silva all day. If he was managing our squad we’d be doing much, much better. Ange has been beaten by him several times now when clearly Silva has a much worse pool of talent to work with.
