Glasner would be a pretty steady pair of hands IMO, left Frankfurt much stronger than when he arrived, will do the same with Palace when he eventually leaves who were in real danger when Woy was still in charge, if we are looking at a guy to come in and right the ship and get us competitive again we could certainly do a lot worse. He clearly thrives in cups as well, been to the German cup final and has a Europa League win to his name, also has Palace in the semis of the FA cup and it's not hugely unrealistic to think they could win it with who's left in, City the biggest name but have been turned over by worse sides multiple times this season. Getting Spurs back into top 4 contention and getting to a final or winning a cup would make him an unequivocal success off the back of this season and you'd say he probably has better than 50% odds of achieving that, so I wouldn't be pissed off at it at all.
I'll say as well I thought Palace were knackered this season with Olise off to Bayern, thought he really carried them offensively last term and they were gonna languish without those goal contributions but the way they've reinvested and come back stronger from him leaving is very impressive tbh. He has exhibited the kind of turnaround after a very poor start to this season at Palace that exhibits the mental fortitude to grin and bear it through poor performances in search of a workable system, which will surely be important for us in the near term. Unlike Ange however Glasner has proven Palace right for the display of loyalty, their form has only got better and better over the season which is the kind of promising improvement you expect to see from a manager who is quantifiably improving their team.
