1. Thiago Motta (Free Agent)
I'm warming up to him, but I don't think he's a "project" manager - outside of Barcelona early on and PSG, he's never stayed anywhere long and I doubt Spurs would be the one to pin him down. First whiff of success here and one of the aforementioned clubs would whisk him away.
2. Sebastian Hoeneß (Stuttgart)
I can't be arsed with special characters.
3. Simone Inzaghi (Inter Milan)
He's never been outside Italy, don't think he'd come for Spurs. Italians are famously rooted to their country - hard to blame them.
4. Xavi (Free Agent)
Now available after leaving Barça. Strong identity, promotes youth, and possession-based football.
Fucking loathe keep away...no thanks.
5. Francesco Farioli (Ajax)
Don't trust anyone from Ajax.
One name - is he a male model or a hair dresser?
7. Andoni Iraola (Bournemouth)
Turned Bournemouth into an aggressive, pressing side. Now settled in the Premier League and looks tactically adaptable. Smart pick if we want someone already proven in England.
Primary qualification if looking for the next Poch - which we should be doing.
8. Thomas Frank (Brentford)
He's bottom of my list, too, but on it for reasons above.

Agree with 99 per cent of that. But ajax there was jan vertonghen. In my top 5 of my favourite and best ever players for us.

Maybe Vinai Venkatesham is being groomed to take over ; just like the
“ promote from within “/ Boot Room philosophy that brought Liverpool all their success back in the 70s / 80s .

Nothing would surprise me anymore.

Our squad is a weird mix and heavily youth oriented. Only manager we are suited for is a Pochettino style manager who develops players and also takes advantage of their energy levels and obviously more flexible than Ange is.

So who is that?

I don’t really think of Poch as a coach who develops youth.

Dele being the exception but he forced his way into the team as soon as he arrived.

Unless we are counting early 20’s like Walker and Rose but they’d been developing before he arrived.

Rose, Dembele, Dele, Kane, Walker, Eriksen, Son all improved under him, many dramatically so. Caicedo, Cucurella and Palmer grew under him at Chelsea, Shaw at Saints. His ability to improve players is his strongest skill, it’s where he is 9/10 or 10/10 as a manager. Most of his teams are young, not 17 years old as such but generally 26 and under as he play an energetic system and we have that. Anyway Poch aside it needs to be someone of that mould, someone who develops players.

He definitely improves players.
Just not really sure he’s really a coach for a squad stacked with teenagers.

Which clubs are known for developing teenagers but still competing at the top level?

Barca, Dortmund, Leipzig…

So we need a Coach used to those types of cultures?

Motta is a very interesting one. Juventus have been a basket case of a club for years so hard to judge, but he does seem respected and seems to have ideology about football and the long career in the game to garner respect. Can’t see us taking that risk given he will likely have a big fee to pay out that Juve contract

Nuno has done a fantastic job at Forrest and they've exceeded all expectations but he still has the same limitations. Not enough patterns of play in possession. I've the exact same concerns about Thomas Frank. Its a different ball game when teams sit against you. All year long teams have been playing into forrest hands and leaving themselves open for their deadly counter attacks.
I think Thomas Frank is more pragmatic. Brentford in the championship played a different style than now, he showed that he can be quite flexible and changed his approach multiple times.

Think his experience with Juve may have grounded him a bit and see what can be lost from enjoying Bologna to the circus of Juve.

Shame as he is a really good coach that develops young players and is highly rated.

He's never been outside Italy, don't think he'd come for Spurs. Italians are famously rooted to their country - hard to blame them.
He is a young manager so he wouldn’t have much experience yet outside of Italy. I Agree Italian players do stick to
Italy, but managers not always - Ancelotti, Capello, De Zerbi, Conte, Ranieri, Sarri, Grosso, Maresca, Mancini etc

Fucking loathe keep away...no thanks.

Plays good football and did well at Barca.

Don't trust anyone from Ajax.

I know, but he is a very good coach and is tipped to have been the brains of Brightons De Zerbi’s

One name - is he a male model or a hair dresser?

No he’s a very good coach that took Girona from the second division to finishing 3rd on La Liga and qualifying for the Chanpions League.

Primary qualification if looking for the next Poch - which we should be doing.

I worry about his injury record being a bit like Anges with lesser games, but does seem to look like a Poch-esque appt.
He's bottom of my list, too, but on it for reasons above.
Agreed

Now that Thiago Motta is available, he'd be an interesting candidate. The Juve stint was a failure (for their standards) because they're also a mess created by Arrivabene and Allegri. His Bologna spell was very, very good though, and you can credit him for the transformation of the club. It would be a gamble, but what isn't at this point?
