Yeah we could invest more and pay higher wages for sure, but even without reinforcements this team should be competing for top six as it currently stands with a decent manager who knows what he’s doing.

Yeah we do now, but I’m an old git when they were termed dug outs and were usually built of breeze blocks!

Xavi Alonso would be the absolute dream. Leverkusen are the Tottenham of Germany, a manager who can build great football, improve players and get results. He is sadly Madrid bound but a good example of an elite manager that isn’t a win it now manager or perhaps more accurately cheque book manager. Can’t think of anyone who would on paper be better suited to our situation and I include Pep and Klopp in that.

I think a low block manager like Glasner might get good initial results but I don’t see that working long term. We need someone who can utilise the high energy of youth and also play in a style that befits the club.

convinced me over xavi . Having looked into him myself I think he'd be a good choice for us to work with the raw young talent we have .

The candidates put forward as an interim are usually Harry Redknapp or Hoddle.
The reason being is that an interim would need to be available and out of work.
There is one guy who I feel sure ticks all the boxes Redknapp and Hoddle do.
Martin O'Neil.
O'Neill is the man Spurs need for this Europa League quarter final and the remaining league games.
He's a positive guy with loads of experience.

After that you really need to get creative. Xavi, Hoeness, Italiano, Farioli, those are the names that all carry a similar amount of risk/reward IMO. Unless you want you say Cesc Fabregas but he’s Steele a massive no in terms of the fanbase.
