:ange-lol: did say this was gonna happen with these flavor of the month mid table managers. Once they started losing games they quickly loose their appeal, iraola, Silva now Glasner.

We are very rich, go and attract the cream of the crop.
Not barrel scrapes like Thomas frank
Wouldn't call Silva flavour of the month, been solid with lesser sides for a while.
I know we are rich, but we are not shopping among the cream of the crop with Levy at the helm and even if we are they have all seen how the club is being run and will have better offers.

The market and the poll are truly uninspiring, but in the plus side anyone will be an improvement on the current mope.

Not really how it works
You mean managers don't have to prove themselves in the Premier League by achieving things?

I think McKenna has shown enough potential to be considered for the job but we wouldn't be signing a Premier League proven manager, we would be signing a talented young manager who failed to keep his team up in a very difficult season for newly promoted teams. It would be a question of making allowances for him rather than referring to a proven track record - a question of hoping for what he will do rather than for what he's already done.

McKenna will be cheap and compliant to the regime so Shady's on board.

Prem proven normally means managed or played in the Prem, not whether they've achieved something.

A correct assessment.

Thomas Frank and Silva both did the SAME thing and KEPT them in the Prem but these fools don't want them saying McKenna is better. WTF?!?!!

Spurs have much better players than Ipswich..... the difference is the manager.
I do not expect Kieran McKenna to become the next Spurs manager because I don't feel he fits the profile but he's a damn good manager. He will do well where ever he goes.
How can you say this with certainty?

Gary O'Neil did a similar job with Bournemouth. Where is he now?

Promotion from the Championship and being relegated is not the correct qualification to get the Spurs job despite having Spurs credentials.

John Gorman did that with Swindon ffs. We wouldn't have chased after him to take the job then so why would we now be chasing McKenna?

How to prove you've accomplished something, World Football 2025:

1) Manage your team to promotion
2) Keep promoted team in upper division
3) Qualify non Continental team for EL
4) Qualify EL team for CL
5) Win minor cup
6) Win domestic league
7) Win CL
8/9/10) Win double/treble/quad

Weigh all that by league coefficient.
Seems fair to me.

Nothing is certain in football but I've been watching Ipswich games on TV for three seasons now & I'm impressed with what he's done with very little. I fully understand that he's not getting the Spurs job but I stand by my opinion that he's a vey good manager.
Ange got the job after winning a two horse race in what is the equivalent of league one/two so is that the correct set of qualifications.

The irony is that it took the same folks about 100 loses to realize Postecoglou is not be the Messiah they kept rambling about, but a couple of losses at midtable clubs for Iraola or Glasner, nah they are not good enough. :harrylol:

If Prem Proven means they had to achieve something then none of the candidates from prem clubs should be on our list really. Not yet anyway. Maybe Iraola or Silva sneak into Europe but it's looking unlikely.

Sure but Postecoglou is the Spurs coach at the time, so isn't he meant to get more patience from Spurs fans, on a Spurs forum?

And even if people realized earlier that Iraola, Silva, and Glasner are bang average, so what? They are still bang average, so, now where do we go?
