Not excited if it's frank tbh

I know what you mean, but the job he's done at Brentford is pretty spectacular really.

Does he deserve a chance at a bigger club? Yes.
Is he a better manager than Ange? 100% yes.
Would he do a better job than Ange? Yes.

My reservations are over the style of football mostly. But he gets the best out of teams and Brentford have consistently punched above their weight.

I would be intrigued to see how he did here, and I am at the stage where I want anyone but Ange for next season.

I remember for a couple of years, a lot of Brentford fans assumed that went Klopp left Liverpool, they'd lose Frank to them. They rate him that highly. They're the ones who've followed his work closely for years, and they'll tell you he's one of the best coaches in the league. The only question is, I can see a world where he comes to Spurs.. doesn't realise how big the club is until he gets here and gets swallowed up..

But as a coach I like him a lot.

The thing with Frank is he will be on it fast by the fans one because it's not an inspiring choice u sack ange and bring in a manager that hasn't won anything and been mostly mid table. The optics will shed this on a negative light if we start badly next season

I do as well.

I’d be happy to have him here, but I wasn’t too sure about him coming here with CL football next season.

It’s a big step up for him

Pieces are moving. It’s a safe pair of hands, not as exciting for me as a Xavi or Simeone but he’d bring us up the table, tactically very adaptable. Interesting to see what he could do with a squad with a higher ceiling

And a lot of Spurs fans thought Poch would go to Madrid …

Frank has won fuck all.

This is the real problem. We're not an appealing club to any manager with any degree of relatable success.

Add into that, the club approaching him is considering sacking the first manager to win anything in almost 2 decades, and the job becomes even less appealing.

Would 8th and no trophy be enough to secure his job. Would 12th and a trophy be enough? There's just no benchmark with this club. Win a trophy and the demand is to perform in the league....perform in the league and the fanbase want trophies. It's just a horror scenario to step into.

It worries me from Levy's standpoint too. Sack Ange and the new manager has to perform, otherwise Levy will be ridiculed. (Ref. Manchester Utd)
So the safer option for Levy is to stick with Ange and 'do the right thing by giving him a chance', then sack him when it inevitably doesn't work out by October. (Ref. Manchester Utd)!
Bullshit.

Personally I think Ange has earned another shot but if not I’d be ok with Frank. He’s good at developing younger players and can be tactically adaptable.
The bigger problem is our list. We need better players but Levy won’t spend to get the quality we need.
Already reports are saying we are going to try and get Eze for cash and players. Typical Levy, thinks he can pay less and get rid of our dead wood. Parish is no fool.

Surprised we've not been linked with Thiago Motta. Did a very good job at Bologna, played a decent brand of football (possession biased) and got Bologna to the Cl for the first time in 60 years. And is out of work. Obviously, his replacement at Bologna, Italiano is has carried on the good work, and would also be worth considering.

Not sure where people are getting the notion that Inzaghi is purely a "bus park" coach. His Inter aren't that. He's played a possession heavy style and a very footbally midfield set up.
Shhhh

I'm even open for no-one next season over Ange.

Yeah not sure on Frank with Champion's League next season as he doesn't have any European experience and going straight into champions league might be too much

Good reply man......intelligent response 👍🏻
I think it's obvious that we are an attractive club for managers. We managed to get both Mourinho and Conte. We pay Ange about £5M a year. Iraola and Frank are paid between £1-2 million. Who wouldn't jump on a chance to trippel their salary. And we paid Mourinho and Conte about 3 times as much as we are paying Ange

Apart from that, everybody can see that we have a squad to fight for Europa places and with a few tweaks this summer maybe for Champions League places. We are also qualified for Champions League.

Its a big step up for most managers, including De Zerbi, Iraola etc.

Plus Ange have been backed, a manager with a reasonable amount of self confidence will think that if he is backed with the amount Ange was backed he could do wonders.

Finally. Who doesn't like a challenge?
