That's the problem. He'll just be happy to be here. He'll have low demands, put up with what he's given, and tow the ENIC line.
As Shadydan Shadydan brilliantly put it, we'll compete in the Premier League, but never FOR the Premier League.
There you have it who ever rocks up will have no chance in the league other than highest finish possible , no chance in the champions league unless the draw is very, very kind so it’s take the money and run so that’s the two domestic cups left can we compete in them no reason why not but we need a kind draw.

What's Frank's record like in the domestic cups? I can't recall Brentford going particularly deep in any of them.

Whoever the new manager is, I expect they will make better use of Romero, van de vyn, Udogie, and Porro. Without having to make so many recovery runs I think they'll stay healthier and we'll get a better idea of how good the center backs can be. Spurs won't park the bus, but they will be less vulnerable. In turn, we'll more often see what some of the young forwards can do on the counter. If Son stays I believe he'll also have more chances to get out in transition and score.

What Frank will bring is brave as fuck high pressing which will suit us. They go high and at full pelt and try suffocate the oppposition. What his Brentford full backs do is play as full backs and don’t go roaming and his teams play good football. I liked watching Brentford to be honest. I always thought we were about 2 seconds off when we pressed which always allowed teams out. Yes we’d catch teams at times but never thought we went with a real purpose. It was always Solanke running about and our wingers and full backs half hearted.

Will Tottenham be too big for him only time will tell.

Unlike Mourinho and Conte though - Xavi comes from a school.of developing talent, trusting youth, and working with academies....

... precisely what Levy has always wanted

And Levy has shown he is willing to invest when things are on his terms
Having gone the grades from the Barca academy one of the best CM ever he's certainly been schooled in one/best of football "schools"...
Of course, that's no guarantee he'll succeed at Spurs but no head-coach comes with a guarantee anyyway

First time poster here.

I chose Frank. I think he is a manager that has many many strings to his bow. He is very tactically astute and will make the team better than the sum of its parts.

My biggest worry is unrealistic expectations from the fans. I think top 6 and a strong push in the cups unfortunately is where we are at right now UNLESS we were to bring in 3 or 4 players that have the required quality and experience. We should be however be building to challenge for titles!

As ever we are hamstrung by the upper echelons of the club making poor decision time and time again.

But on the whole, frank will do a fantastic job and I'm pretty excited to see him develop these young players in particular.

Would have been happy with de zerbi tbh. Iraola or poch for me.
De Zerbi cones across as a right prick tbh... Anyone who cares that much about his appearance who ISN'T a Model or an Actor worries me!

If he cared enough, Thomas Frank could've had ear reduction surgery YEARS & EARS ago... But he didn't, and went with the BFG look!

....I like that about him!

there are feeds this morning saying a deal is close with both Frank and Silva :contehandshead:

Two managers, so we can rotate at midweek?

39 pages in Frank thread. Not been in this thread before as Ange still Manager but glad not everyone deciding Frank has the job as he does not excite me and it will be back to chasing the Top 4/5 non trophy. Glasner won the F A cup and could open up for a couple of Palace players we are interested in following would be my choice.
