I ate at Nando’s when was in London. I never ate similar chicken in Portugal. The only connection is the cockerel logo. Oh and with the money I paid I could eat 3 or 4 entire chickens hereoh and I didn’t knew how spicy the chicken could get and I went with a 4 LOL

Yes, it was founded in South Africa, but by a Portuguese expat who wanted to sell Portuguese-style barbecue chicken . It's close but not really... Maybe it was better back when it first started, and then they changed the recipe once it became a big commercial operation, but it's not the real traditional Portuguese barbecue chicken.
