I’m not going to join the hate on Emerson but just wish the finishing was there, and really want to see what Spence could do now. Son will come back to form but its time to try a different tactic. He was brought on as an impact sub all the time under Poch and proved himself that way so maybe give that a go. Kulusevski is too good to waste.

Weirdly frustrating match. Some good openings created but again we seemed a bit lethargic up front, lacking an intensity and composure that could easily have made this a routine win. Overall, Sporting deserved it. We can do much better. Move on. Take out frustration on Leicester and get Sonny scoring!
He was shocking apart from one ball. Most of the time he was strolling around, slack control and attempting Hollywood passes all game.
