So how were we robbed?
By one bad call at the death? You think we deserved to win that match? Would you rather blame some guy in an office drawing some dodgy lines on the screen or the shite display for the first 60 minutes? The garbage tactics? The lack of guts on display from the majority of our players?
Blaming the officials achieves nothing, acknowledging the latter 3 points might.
We weren't robbed, if the goal had stood the Sporting players would be more justified in feeling robbed, not because of the decision, because of the performance over 96 minutes.

Ordinarily I'd be fuming with that last minute VAR call. However based on that cowardly first half performance they didn't deserve it anyway. You cannot go out and play, to a man, in the way that they did in that first half. It simply isn't acceptable.
Special mention for Emersons no look pass by the way. I didnt know whether to laugh or cry. He can't even pass when he's looking what he's doing. He's got some bollocks though I'll give him that.

If you block a ball, you are deliberately playing the ball. Where do you draw the line. If a player puts out his leg and the ball touches his leg is that deliberate? If you want to pass the ball to someone and you slip and pass the ball to someone in an offside position who scores, does that count because it wasn't deliberate? The defender causes the ball to change direction into the path of Kane. He went to block the cross deliberately. His action gave the desired result. If the defender had not touched the ball, the ball would have went behind Kane.
I don't think the rules even have a clause for that exact occurrence. They've decided that at the moment the ball was played, Kane's knee is one micron ahead of Royal's head, and that's it.i don't understand the rules?
if he heads it along the path of blue arrow then i think that is off side.
if he heads it backwards, cannoning off the defender into kane's path along the path of the yellow arrows, i thought that wasn't off side
From the freeze frame, it looks like Kane is behind both Emerson and the ball, at worst he is level.
Either way, he's not offside.

I believe Head-to-Head takes precedent over GD actually. But either way a draw will do it.
