Spurs and your missus

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'd been going full on for years before I met her, but she said 'if you've got a season ticket, I want one'. So that's what happened. She loves Spurs now. It's the only thing we agree on.

My bird does that patronising as fuck routine whereby she questions why i like football like I'm some kind of terrorist.

If nothing else has come from my evening, I've learned a new golden banter in "kick her in the sponge". Fantastic.

Dear Marge,
I have shown affection for another. Am I wrong for having these feelings?

I seem to love Tottenham more than my wife. Is this wrong?

I don't know what to do , they both mean the world to me.

With me it's the exact opposite. The more passionate about Spurs I've become and the more football I've started watching in recent years, the more my partner seems to dislike football. He used to be a proper Reading supporter but now he'll only ever watch a match if he's got a bet on it but he'll still sit there sulking because he's bored. Very annoying.
Oh O, sounds like he's gonna get dumped :pochserious:

Dear MrS
There is nothing wrong in having these feelings. I guess you would have been in love with Spurs for a lot longer than the wife which explains this affair of the heart. Keep both and enjoy the ride. Kind regards Marge.

I wonder if you ever really expected to have a sensible discussion from the OP?

My wife doesn't skydive, ski or support Spurs and we have a great relationship, accepting each others differences in our diverse interests.
So I guess the answer is, it isn't an issue if you are in a loving relationship with an adult with a reasonable amount of common sense.

my missus will go the game, and usually pay.

however, she'll fall asleep if its on TV, which is great.

as for language she'll only allow the c word 2 days per year, or 3 if we get them in the cup.

My missus? The only reason why I watch football at all is just to please her. Don't tell her that.

My wife fucking loves Spurs. She's never seen a match, she wouldn't be able to name one player past or present, but she fucking loves Spurs. To my wife, Spurs means that my kids and I leave the house for a couple of hours (she doesn't even care that I take our toddlers to a dirty, disgusting bar on a Saturday morning) and she gets to read a book in silence. Best thing that has happened to my marriage.
