Compare with MADDs who gets in the bal, create a bit space for himself and generally faces forward looking to make a pass. How many balls did he play into space. I’m with you on that one, mate. At this point, we’ve got enough data and evidence to justify taking the gamble on replacing him. Honestly, he’s had more support and patience than any recent manager, and I’d argue that support wasn’t exactly earned—it’s more of a hangover from past sackings and a reluctance to endure yet another managerial merry-go-round.
And let’s not forget the ‘Big Ange’ factor. His personality has really played into this, some fans have really warmed to him and bought into the ‘Angeball’ hype, which, as I said the other day, is an ideal narrative for Levy to get behind. He gets the feel-good factor of “having our Tottenham back” without having to actually deliver anything of substance.
That will only last so long though because if we don’t have that European money or, at the least, a trophy win. Ange will be hitting the skids.
