Match Spurs v Bodo/Glimt (A) - Champions League - Tues 30th Sept - KO: 8pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Nah. They sneering call him a long ball pragmatic cautious type. Copyright the Athletic and Nathan from the extra inch. And they are not wrong. He isn't one of hipster choices...that would be Iraola the one we should have got
Strong disagree here. Pundits, fans, gush over him. Every article is how Frank has made Spurs less Spursy ect. "He turns attackers into quality players", does he? All this data driven approach.

Iraola is just a straight up good coach, think that's universally agreed, Glasner too.

When was the last time Spurs played with courage? And not faux Ange courage that saw us pumped 4-1. Real courage and confidence?

Bodo has confidence.

Do we?

Hard not to be negative about this tbh, a game like this really opens your eyes to how poor some players really are. I had hopes for Johnson as a rotation/impact option but clearly starved of regular playing time he loses the sharpness he utterly relies upon to contribute, Bentancur is not a good player, good players look good no matter who you play them with and make other players look better played next to them, Bentancur never looks especially good and all our other midfielders look better in other combinations without him.
Odobert I think deserves a chance to play with a better striker to feed and a better midfield feeding him, our only player who did anything remotely progressive with the ball first half. Berg and Sarr together in MF is pissing in the wind, they are both pretty similar players IMO with Berg being more technically gifted and Sarr having the better engine, they need a more press resistant and tidy passing 6 behind them and a dynamic 10 to support ahead of them to function well, and both look very good when played in a balanced MF, but shit tonight in this combination.

Don't have much to say about the defence, rate them all but given an impossible task tonight with everything coming straight fucking back at them either through misplaced passes or backpasses, Vic has not covered himself in glory tonight but had good games and saved/won us points in other games this season. VDV needs to keep his head better, can't melt like that on the pitch as it hugely affects your performance, little surprise we concede a soft goal again after that.
