Outside the starting 11, the quality is not good enough, simple as. And if they are good enough, then why do the same players perform so poorly so regularly?
The squad needs an overhaul. And to many people are defending to much mediocrity.
I have nothing against any of them personally, but a lot of them are not good enough.

Their second has to rocket towards the top of the standings for abysmal goals conceded. At least half a dozen of our players doing something unbelievably shit before it ended up in our net.
It's called being coached properly, something he didn't... well. no one got last season...
And it is a sign of the quality player that he is, that he is picking up it up quickly by the looks of it.

Poch at the end was absolutely terrible. For a solid year. We had relegation form for most of it. He couldn't get change his system, picking his favourites in Sissoko and Winks for the worst double pivot I can remember. Not making subs til the 80th minute We were so easy to play against. His career has only went one way since. He also publicly threw tantrums, constantly flirted with leaving for a bigger job. You must have a short memory.
You could see straight away we played good football immediately under Poch. And no, it didn't take a year and a month to turn good. We finished 5th and played some great attacking stuff and we're solid at the back. But he stagnated, it happens, it was sad. Those good Poch years were amazing though.

Simmons is new to the league and team. He will need time. I don't think theres any need to panic but talk of top four was always crazy.
The goalkeepers not good enough Romero is an issue no matter how hard people want to focus on his positives. Porro is not a right back and needs a proper rival. Spence switching sides is not good for him or us. Danso can not play so little and be expected to hit stride. I watched this same shit undermine Davinson Sanches who look just fine against Liverpool tonight getting regular game time.
Then theres the lack of a deeplying playmaker. Because we need the option to change our approach at times. Bergval is a box to box as is Sarr its either or. Bentancur is not the player pre ACL we must find better. Then there's a massive hole where an elite wide forward should be. Then there's Richarlison...wow its a fucking void. We have to upgrade him ASAP. All this to do Thomas are you the man to do it?

After the transfer windows, many were quite optimistic we could get top 4 and/or a domestic cup. Then whenever we had a bad game it's always the same 'our players are never good ebough'. So how? We are so bad at selling players to begin with.
Um, a point from that dross flatters us.
