It's not coincidental that our only "proper" goal against Bodo (a much, much less accomplished and resourced club than Spurs) came from a cross into the box by a back and was scored by another back, in general play - that alone speaks volumes about the ability/quality of our forwards and halves

Did you watch Barca v psg tonight. Amount of kids both managers were throwing on was incredible. They weren’t scared do so they were brave. I don’t know the quality of this players but at least their managers had the guts to put them on in a big CL game. Only our club seems to think we can’t , have to send them on loan or make excuses for the ones that do play and keep saying they are young. Ffs tel is 20 and Wilson older I think. The players both teams tonight were playing were like 17 and 18. Some making debut in CL.

There was no magic tactics. Whatever we had was revealed from the first minute - sit back in a low block and basically couldn’t pass our way out of a paper bag

It's similar to Conte and Jose, sit deep and then try to spring a counter attack.
It’s effective if, you can pass the ball quickly and accurately, along with a striker who can hold the ball up.
We on the other hand, could not do any of the above. It just leads to the team being under constant pressure leading to mistakes and goals conceded.
Yet again, the team is in a poor state with a lack of strikers available.
Muani can't play for some reason and, Solanke is made of glass, Xavi can't find his rhythm, Maddison won't play probably until next season, it's a poor state of affairs.
absolutely. Will be interesting to see how Leeds set themselves up for tne next game. If they try to capitalize on the weaknesses we saw, or if they sit back more. In any case, we've not seen much adaptability from the team regardless of who we play. And I think most teams have Frank's football worked out already. Slooow build ups with the almost sole aim of crossing it. But we don't even commit in the box when doing so. Safety first, always.
But do we actually really use counter attacks as a weapon?
I think most of the time that we recover the ball, we always regroup first with a number of passes. It leads to their teams being fully regrouped for defence and makes it even harder to create something.
At least under Conte and Mourinho, we were designed to break away fast when given the chance. I never see this under Frank.
