Match Spurs v Brighton (Away) - Sat 20th September - KO: 3pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Both teams played well. So many positive plays you can point to for Spurs. This one has to give them confidence. I think people will be tougher on Viccario than he deserves. First goal was him being put in a bad position and on the second you just have to tip your hat to the goal scorer. That was a really well hit ball that was spinning away. I really like this squad already and they will just get better.

Showed fight, didn't panic, were the better side. Shame not to win, but given how the game panned out, a point is a decent result in the end.

Disappointing reaction to our equaliser from the players tbh, feel they could've kept their foot on Brighton's neck and pressed on for a winner. Johnson is a total waste of a shirt out there.
Majority would have been happy with a draw before game started, fact we came back from 2-0 made it even better

Can see our strongest 11 going forward being

Vicario

Spence/Porro
Romero
VDV
Udogie

Palhinha
Bergvall /Sarr
Xavi

Kudus
Muani/Solanke
Odobert/Muani

Palhinha has to be 6 and Xavi 10 to get the best out of this team

A draw away to Brighton is certainly not a bad result at all, being 2 nill down makes it an excellent result.

Like Simmons , he has that low centre of gravity , been needing a player like that for years. Kudos looks very lively.

We were hanging on at the end which is silly because it should have been us pushing at the end .

Shut up cunt. You were predicting we were gonna get a battering before the game.

Don’t pipe up now ya melt

That will do after being two down and I am happy enough if we become harder to beat that would be a good starting point .Please stop talking about title challenges at least for this year anyway ,we are miles off that.

We really need a world class keeper and striker!
Well, Vicario may have had his faults but shot stopping is not one of them. This kind of sh*t happens even to 'world class' keepers. No evidence today of Vic's old weakness in competing for the ball in the box. And, interestingly today, his long distribution, apart from one kick, was impressive. I believe there's evidence our goalkeeping coaches have been doing their thing.

We bought a striker, Kolo, in the window. Let's see how he fares when he gets full match fitness, and adapts to Frank and the EPL.

After going two down you'd have to think that getting a draw is a great outcome. I'm not sure why I feel a bit deflated. Our goals were scrappy and we seemed to stop playing once the second one went in.

I think, perhaps, that Frank's default setting is very conservative play. That would make us hard to beat but, I fear, may mean we would not have the ambition that this club should have. It's early days and I hope to be proven wrong.

I'll confess to being concerned though.

So for me we are an evolving being but the flaws of last season that were baked in with the idiot coach are being mitigated. We need Xavi at ten, and a quality LW option ( we dont have this) a player to spell and push Kudus( dont have this) A better Centerforward than Richarlison which means another even with s fit RKM and Solanke. Then its coaching and how we implement a proper midfeild possession game when fundamentally we have runners in Sarr AND Bergvall, a stopper in Paulinha and...not sure what Bentancur is. Think we should break the bank for Stiller and Van Bommel which still leaves an elite left wing and a Centerforward to find.

We aren't mounting a title challenge and we were the bookmakers underdogs today
For me we’ve had the Ange/Levy enema and it’ll take some time before things settle into a certain direction. I won’t be too distressed about anything but Ange-level relegation form before the winter window.

My expectations are to remain in the top half all year, even though I believe we have players who can do more we also have glaring needs and as we’ve seen, smaller clubs can still get at us.

Improvement month by month ought to be the measuring stick and the climate is a lot more fair than it was 6 months back for example

Shame about West Ham 😂🤣
They’ve got two easy games next though: Everton and Woolwich. Both away.
